Studio Series Thundercracker and Galvatron Found in US Stores

While these toys have been available on Amazon and fans have had them in their collections for a good while, they have only been found in big box stores recently. We wanted to give you a heads up to those who still prefer to hunt for toys at retail. The sighting below comes from Jason who wrote to us with an image.

On Monday 9/21 I went into the Target in Tyler, TX and they had a single each of SS Thundercracker, SS Galvatron, SS Sideways, and the SS Bumblebee.

Below is a review of Galvatron and Thundercracker for those who want to know more about the toys.

Oh, if I knew this would be news I would have reported it too. I found mine on 9/13 at a Target in Beverly, MA. They didn't have Thundercracker, but I did grab Bee and Galvatron.

Yay, it isn't Megatron vs Optimus.

Excellent new. I have a feeling Que is going to win it all, he probably is the #1 guy needed, since he is the only DotM Autobot not yet made (unless you want a DotM Ironhide with new guns, which I do, but his other SS toy still counts there for me).

the others who most need done are parts of teams, so I feel Que is the best choice overall.

On the other hand, Que has at least had toys, whereas Devcon has never gotten a toy.

Except BotCon 2014. But that was an exclusive. And G1.

Do you see G1 Devcon or DOTM Devcon in this poll?

Yo, was that his name? I loved that design, I would greatly love a huge leader class figure of that guy!

Just noticed that the Autobot 5 pack has a release date of 9/23! Hopefully mine will ship then too! So excited for this!

Also my vote goes to Que is that is still open. I love devcon's design and all, but I need a Que in my collection already.

ok so we know NEST Bonecrusher (95BB) is a repaint of SS33. But I cant tell the Ratchet's apart. Which one is NEST Ratchet (96BB) a repaint of?

Also, I guess SS is currently unknown ?

Since NEST Ratchet includes the gun, he’s technically a repaint of SS16 DOTM Ratchet, though both Ratchets are the same mold, just repainted with different weapons.

Man, this is so cool! SS-44 desperately needed a rerelease (so excited that more people can get him now!), and the NEST repaints look awesome! I’m buying Ratchet on sight and Bonecrusher’s actually looking really good too!

Thanks. I figured they were the same except for weapons, but I'm no SS expert so I just wanted to make sure.

So...does anyone think SS100 is going to be something special, or just another entry in the series?

I Mean they still have AoE Optimus (2 versions), and TLK Optimus, not to mention TLK Megatron still yet to be made. I was kind of thinking they might save The Fallen for #100, bit obviously not.

Of course it could just be another random entry, maybe Hasbro won't do anything special.

My vote is for a Knights of Cybertron deluxe 12 pack that all combine to make Dragonstorm only $300

Actually, unironically, that might make a good Haslab project, except it would probably be more like $400 because it would be a one time use tooling expense. :-?

Bonecrusher in black will be BOSS! I want it.

Also, SS-44 Leader OP reissue? F YEAH!
Too bad those will be a Toys R Us with their price gouging, but it's still better than paying those absurd eBay prices.

Yeah I got the notice from Amazon that the 5-pack is shipping early and I got charged for it. Can't wait!

My guess is SS100 will be nothing more special than any other SS release

I concur, especially if you count ss86 as part of the line (which we know Hasbro do) then we've already gone over that number.
