I'm not saying people shouldn't like Devastation, just that to me, it feels a little cheap to say it's the best TF game of 2015 when it's really the ONLY TF game of 2015.

We looked at the various mobile games too, but yeah - it did sort of win by default.
However, people wanted to write about it, and I liked the writings, so I included them!

Kinda gotta argue with this guy here. Takara Defensor should be no where near #1. That thing was underpainted, glossed over, and the paint work on Hasbro's was far superior. Plus Rook and legends Groove worked out really well, and the only reason he probably gave that combiner the #1 is because of Groove, whom to me was not enough to overcome other things just beating Hasbros, let alone other figures

Yeah, I could see Superion - as that was pretty landmark, but definitely not the underpainted TT Defensor

I agree. And yes, his reasoning is groove.

Which honestly is not enough. That would be like giving Menasor first place for having Wildrider being a wholely takara exclusive mold if he was, and that just doesn't work

Or like saying UW Bruticus is the best year of 2016 because TT gave Vortex 4 rotor blades

I'm surprised he didn't put Unite Superion on there, let alone Devastator being #1. And I am a bit surprised legends Megs was not on there, instead there being generations. At least TAV 29 made it on there. good one there!

I think he just preffers the Hasbro Megs. I do too. I like the red since it adds contrast and detail and is an awesome homage to the toy. I never saw the show model as being silver anyway so a full silver toy wouldnt work for me. Silver and red is a killer combo though.
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:I'm not saying I prefer the takara version. I far and away love the hasbro version. Just given his love of takara I was slightly surprised that the legends version was not used
I feel the red on leader Megs just sets the figure off so well. To me Megatron is silver with black and red detailing. What surprised me the most from Hasbro's leader Megatron was all that glorious silver paint. I was kinda expecting it to just be that swirly silvery plastic.william-james88 wrote:D-Maximus_Prime wrote:I'm not saying I prefer the takara version. I far and away love the hasbro version. I dont think its really that he loves Takara. I think he is just like me, I like what I find looks better. In most cases its Takara, deservedly so. But with Megatron it was a nice difference. One wasnt better than the other, they were just different, and he went with the one he thinks worked best. Same one I would pick even though I usually favour takara for their attention to detail.

I haven't been in this game hardcore for very long, but I feel 2015 was a great year for figures. I know CW was all samey same, but overall I feel we got some very diverse stuff.
