Woooooow to that Megatron design. We are geting a Leader Jet plane Transformer in Jetfire hasbro and maybe that Megs.
I got to rethink my whole Transformers wish list. It doesn't look good for Leo and mp Wheeljack and since the aoe line doesn't look to promising then I'm a have to think about obtaining these two and future unknown good collectors figures. And one thing very very good about Hasbro leader figures(or just hasbro figurs in general) is that there is not million ko's of the figure online rite after the figure is released. 2014:year of the Transformer.

I would say, classics Starscream is pretty damned G1 accurate to be fair, both alt mode and bot mode are almost identical to his onscreen presentation.

What, for forty or fifty quid? I'd say that's a pretty good price for a Leader-class figure. Just as long as he's not short for a Leader or simplification involved, then I'm fine paying the usual Leader rate.

I'm glad it's not just me. While I would be very excited to see something like this be offered up to us by Hasbro, there is something setting off the alarms in the back of my brain telling me that this thing is not legit. I think the entire fandom just got suckered. I'm calling "Bullsh**" on this figure, much as I don't want to. Something about it just doesn't "feel" right.

Yeah, I know I've been a major cynic about a lot of the releases lately but this isn't along the same lines. This is a toy that I would actually WANT to see hit full production and have no issues with as far as design (ok, very little issue with) but I just don't see this being an actual production figure.

Over at The Allspark, former Hasbro designer Joe Kyde (who still does freelance work for them) was strongly implying that these pics are something that probably shouldn't have been seen by the public at this time (and the Allspark user who posted them took them down for this reason).

You are probably right. He was name dropped recently too. Before this appearance, his IDW design was slavishly classics looking.

I'm not super excited about this but I'll end up buying it. I really hope it doesn't have electronics though.

The chance of us getting a Generations Overlord is about as likely as the South-Eastern Coast getting snow.

But in all seriousness, I'd be all over that if it was done.

I don't think that idea is any crazier than the idea of Hasbro making a two-foot-tall $125 Titan-Class Metroplex. We got combining Leaders in the ROTF line, so there's a recent precedent.

I have another idea that makes a bit more sense, considering they're both 'Cons. How about a Leader sized Starscream and Megatron, which combine into an Overlord, after retooling and repainting? Generations Leader Starscream? Anyone?

Yeah, aside from the Movies and his powered up form in Cybertron, Starscream was never so giant sized.

If Tomy/Hasbro can make a great looking (well Tomy that is) Legend version of this in the form of TG-28 (or variant of the main design) than yes, not just cross fingers but bend our knees and pray to Primus that this becomes reality.

This is very cool , G1 like. I will be getting this guy for sure and adding some upgrade stickers one day from Reprolabels. Not too crazy about the cartoon face , but looks like you can change the face from cartoon to robot look.
