Because there are those fans who never left the fandom who SIMPLY DO NOT LIKE things about the movieverse and prefer some of the older stuff, and no i'm not referring just to GEEWUNNERS.
And I found Blurr yesterday. ner ner to you all!

I see that Burn! It wasn't small enough! Dang! If you weren't in Australia I'd ask you to grab a Blurr for me!

Yay! I have found a second person person like me. The movieverse really sealed the deal in me getting back into Transformers. I thoroughly enjoyed both and like you I can't watch them enough. If it hadn't been for Michael Bay and his whole crew, I'd be collecting something else...like Star Wars or something. I never really realized how great Transformers were until the movie universe was unleashed. That's why I do not understand how it can be "destructive" to the brand, because it's bringing the old fans back and attacting new ones. I myself have just started actually "collecting", and I expect at least 10 new Transformers for Christmas, most from ROTF. Most of my figures are from the movieverse, also. I currently own around ten times less Transformers than you do, to my knowledge (I know, I know I shouldn't be here "'cause I don't have enough to be fan"). I'm glad to hear that the movieverse is having the same effect on others as it does to me.

The small print doesn't work Burn. I SEE EVERYTHING!!! I envy you with all the envy my brain can generate...until it explodes.I want Blurr so slagging bad (along with Dirge).

Same here, but I wouldn't be collecting anything. I'd just be sleep all day with nothing to do. There are only 2 things I care about in my life.
1. Video games
and
2. Transformers.
If it wasn't for the movies, there would be nothing for me to live for. Life would be boring as hell, but the movies got me back into TFs and gave me somthing to care about. Which is why I get pissed if someone talks bad about ROTF, because I care about it, it's the only thing I care about.

What kills me, is that I saw Blurr, picked him up, showed him to my hubby and said, "This is what I want for my birthday." Then I set him back down. A week later, my hubby tells me, "I tried to find Lur, but he's not there anymore." That day will haunt me the rest of my days...
Dirge I've seen, but haven't picked him up - ulp! When will I learn my lesson?
No, I don't really collect the toys. Right....

Yeah I'd probably be the same as you...just sleep and do nothing.
I'm also a big video game fan, too! That is another area where I'm bashed for the gaming system I have. (You XBOX360 guys KNOW the PS3 rocks but you just can't admit it.) I also care about the movies, and I get angry when people bash it, and I defend the movies, but it usually gets me mauled. I agree I probably post some really hazy threads on here, but I can't let someone tell me my opinions are wrong so I should shut up and go away. And I sure hope you do care about other things besides TFs and video games, such as your family and your education and career.

I think you'll find they're talking from a personal perspective, ie, it's killing it for them.
Animated did that for me. I hate the aesthetic, plain and simple. Do not like it. Did not like the toys either because of it. Now it's being used in TF:Prime.
Yes, I prefer my bricks dammit.

PS3 FTW, 360 is good too, but the PS3 is just better, which is a fact. It depends on what you mean by "me caring about my family" I care bout them, but if somthing bad happens, I can't stop it...unless in that situation I have the power to, I will stop it, but if not, I just have to learn to move on. My education, I'm pretty sure I'm educated enough to press a button on a camcorder, which falls into place of the career thing. I came up with a plausable theory for a living organism to move at light speed without tearing it apart from the atomic level, I figured out that Einstein is actually wrong (With a little help from ROTF of course.) So, yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm educated enough to press a button and blow crap up.

And I have no shame in admitting I love my bricks. The movie figures are bloody over complicated at times, oh sure they might look good, but i'm getting old, I don't have half an hour to spare to transform one bloody transformer. G1 Prime in 10 seconds? That's what I like.

Ah...a fellow PS3 fan finally. And I am glad you are educated enough to know life skills and far beyond. We need more people like that, because they are a dying breed. Blowing crap up is also a great skill to have for the future(not really, but you know what I mean). That is why I enjoy Michael Bay's work.
OptiMagnus10 wrote:SlyTF1 wrote:Exactly, I want to be the next Michael Bay/George Lucas/some guy who makes really complicated movies. I want them to be super explosive heavy, I mean record breaking! More than ROTF's explosions! But also venture out into space and toehr alien cultures, but still make it mind blowing and complicated to a point where you really need to pay attention to get the super complicated story.

Me too! I saw the first movie when it came out on DVD, but it didn't give me Tranformer-itis until ROTF came out. Then I was hooked all over again - I had the bug pretty bad in my teens. I've got a few toys since then (AGGGGH! Still can't find Blurr!) but I've purchased most of the TPB's and I keep hoping Ongoing will get better.
Are you from Denver, or just like the Broncos - they definitely need a new head coach!

Oh ye of little faith, give it time. When it comes to Movie-verse vs Traditional-verse, there are no shortage of flames. In fact another whole new thread already started about yet another G1/Movie conflict....I think it should be merged with this said thread. A Thread...combiner if you will lol
