And to point something out again, Bay did not save Transformers, Transformers was still popular before the Movie came out, in fact that is the whole reason the movie was made in the first place. Sure awareness of the brand has increased, but it wasn't saved or made cool due to the movies.

You're absolutely right, Armada/Beast Wars (at different times) saved Transformers.

Gewwom saved Trasfarmers. Theymes just some poopy Japanese toys before Gewwom came along and made them the rage. Barfaymers revitalized the brand, but no one would give any shits if there were no Gewwoms.

Beast Wars is really the only series that's ever "saved" the brand since Hasbro was faced with two options after G2's lack of sufficient success: Kill the brand or give it to Kenner. They did the latter.

They have never looked back since.
