And it's somewhat illogical. I mean, what if other drivers see a 77 Camaro suddenly turning into an 08 Camaro right before their very eyes?Auto Bot wrote:The reason behind the Camaro is that, this is a movie. It's a fiction. It's not pinned on any specific historical period. We could have any type of concept or imaginary vehicle design, as long as it is close to reality.
But i still don't like the "scan anytime, reformat anytime" idea.

They didn't see it. The other vehicles are props. No drivers. Just remote controls.

Or other Transformers themselves...
I didn't really like the transcanning, either.

I prefer a more permanent alt form.
Sure, they can scan by themselves, but only once. And it should take some special situation to be able to reformat into something else.

QFT!
Even once is too much. They should need some outside force (eg Teletraan 1 or a CR chamber) to do it. Or what's to stop Megatron scanning the Death Star, or Unicron, turning into them, and threatening every world he comes across.

Its just a cloaking device. I don't think he'd necessarily get the Death Star's abilities OR become Unicron.
Insurgent wrote:If he scanned Unicron's planet mode, he would become Unicron planet mode. And then he could eat any planet that disagreed with him. And the Matrix wouldn't stop him, he isn't Unicron. And how would he get that size I hear you ask?
MASS SHIFTING! Good for all your unexplanable things. Quick, buy buy buy, upgrade now for only £10.99 and get this free insta-glue free. Got a robot that fell to pieces as he couldn't handle things, or just want to give him that extra shine, Insta-glue is the way to go.
I don't think Frenzy expected that richochet. Didn't it deflect off something a human moved, thus throwing it onto a new trajectory?

Oh hell.
And if the leaked treatment for TF2 was right, well, goodbye humanity!![]()
Hnn I have no idea. Seemed like it was ricocheting off the pillars.

I've only seen the movie once, I can't remember every little detail.
And what is this about leaked treatment for TF2? What happens? It's a Bay film, they'll just send Bruce Willis up on a rocket and nuc MegaCron.
yes it's set for a 2009 release with a slightly bigger enginePontimax 01 wrote:Sherade wrote:I've seen ONE, but the hardtop is mondo expensive.
Must have been aftermarket. Pontiac doesn't offer (check their site) the removable hardtop from the factory or as a GM accessory (yet). Only come soft tops. But they have been and probably still are toying with the idea of a strictly hardtop model. Nonremovable roof, and it's kinda ugly.

Pontimax 01 wrote:Test mules are seen on roads all the time in certain areas. Michigan is one, desert roads are another out near the various manufacturer proving grounds. Sometimes you'll see them wrapped in camo disguise to hide curves and such, but they are among us. There are currently Camaro mules running around backroads in Australia according to various automotive spy-shot journalists. Motortrend just reported getting a tour of Death Valley in a Pontiac G8 mule that they were testing for powertrain and NVH accessments, public roads. They are out there, most of us just aren't either in the right area at the right time, or don't notice them. If your lucky enough to get a shot of one though, many mags will buy the photo.
I live in Dayton, and I personally got to see a Solstice and a STS a year before they appeared on lots. My dad works for GM (salary) here and his plant manager had one of each before release to make comments on and basically show off to neighbors and such. I think he had a 2006 Corvette Z06 for awhile too. Talk about perks.
The rest of it is like everyone else says. It's a movie, and it plays on your suspension of disbelief. You're watching a movie about autonomous alien robots doing battle on earth, so they figured you probably won't bicker over that detail too much.
