I just finished installing armor on one of my bots after upping its strength so it could carry more when I looked at its stat bar which was full and read, "-3 to next level" which made me note that it had dropped down a full level as well.

This may be because of the new levelling system that sets a maximum xp cap for each level.

I don't see how Ritech qualifies for the maximum cap. As far as I know there was nothing mentioned about a minimum amount of xp needed, which is the only thing I see would cause this bug; that or he had some cursed armor installed.

I just employed the new leveling system and reset the caps to lower numbers since the consensus was that it was too high.

level 0 < 40,000)
level 1 < 350,000)
level 2 < 750,000)
level 3 < 2,000,000)
level 4 < 4,500,000)
level 5 < 10,000,000)
level 6 < 25,000,000)

So now it's less than instead of greater than? Ritech is going to stomp all over some level 2's if that's correct. Also, why was he the only one affected?

Did you change the stat requirements for levels? Or do anything with the Robot Abilities?

B/c his guy apparently dropped from level 3 to level 2, and he's right, there's no reason a maximum cap on his xp would cause him to drop.

Bikkusu, how much do you have in your tactics?

Edit: And hit the Computational Robot Mode when this is sorted out; looks like it could help.

I got something similar with Scourge. He's actually -11 to next level - dropped from level 7 to level 5:

I reset him about a week ago. Maybe that makes a difference?

Well, I duplicated the build in the xp calculator and it says you should be 6 stats away from level 4. :-?

Only other thing I could do would be reset one of my bots and see if it happens to me too.

All in all, it's not exactly a handicap at the moment.

Edit: I reset a guy and copied your config - he came out to level 3.

Of course, he has over 3 million xp total, so if that has any effect...

I think this had something to do with the way I designed the upgrade page and how it was determining your level. I took out that code and I don't think we will have anymore problems with it.

No one should worry about anything at this point. The first upgrade you make or reset you do will put your bots in the right position.

As far as the leveling system itself, I just ran several more tests on my own bots and it seems to be working fine.

Excellent. It should maintain those minimum levels through your upgrading.
There is also a new daily process that runs everyday to check everyone's levels to find people that have exeeded the XP caps during the day and level them up. I also added faction forum permission setting in that daily process as well.

Everything should be OK but you never know.

Oh, yeah, being as medics are useless in a faction with 3 members, I reset him again...

Be warned, the Gobots are coming...

I probably wouldn't have done it yet if it weren't for how well the available alt and robot modes worked. And Pratfall just wasn't pulling his weight.
