So I was thinking tonight about the Minicons, and I began to wonder,

Could the G1 Micromasters be considered Minicons?

Would you consider G1's Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Rewind, Eject, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, etc etc etc to be Minicons? After all, they're about the right size, and they're bonded to a larger TF.

Well, no. If they aren't called minicons, thay aren't.
At least for the Cassestes.

But, I like thinking that the Minicons were the evolution of the Mircromasters somehow.

That could work. Just like Unicron could be considered the first headmaster.

nope. they're not bonded to Blaster/Soundwave - they're more like sentient drones if anything.

minicons "link" to their robot partners and give them massive boosts of power, as well as unlocking extra modes and/or abilities. the G1 Micromasters and cassettes don't do this at all.
