Haven't been able to get on here in a while, I only get a few seconds and the site completely crashes on me and I can't get in on Chrome or Edge on PC or mobile, I get a time out error. This is the closest I've gotten to being able to post in a week. Not even sure this post is going to work.

(Edit) OH! I was actually able to post! Let's see if I get more than a minute before I start getting time out errors.

Thanks for the heads-up, Emerje. We recently discovered that some users were being incorrectly blocked by one of the site’s security tools due to a technical issue. One of our staff members ran into the same thing, which helped us trace and resolve the problem.

Your access should be working normally now, but if you — or anyone else — experience any kind of issue accessing the site (not just timeouts, but errors, pages not loading, or anything unusual), please let me know as soon as possible. Most likely, if one person is affected, others are too.

The more info you can provide, the better — screenshots, exact error messages, your IP address (if possible), or anything else you notice. If you can, shoot me an email with something like “URGENT – Seibertron site issue” in the subject line so I can look into it right away.

I would have emailed but my staff email hasn't worked for years (despite several requests to have it fixed) and I couldn't access the front page when this was happening so I couldn't use the contact form. I actually had two news posts I wanted to make this past week, but...

Well, I almost got 4 hours reading and replying to posts before the error came back. More often than not, as was the case this time, it seems to happen when I'm deleting bot posts. Had to turn on my VPN to get back again. It's like it gets confused and thinks it's blocking the bot but blocks me instead. Also found two bot posts that actually got through to the site that I know I disapproved. I manually deleted the post for one from tonight, but I also found this one that might have been the last post I thought I disapproved before I started having issues (if it was me that did it in the first place).

Before anyone posts anything, yes i know there was an error that caused the site to go down for about 20 minutes while I resolved the problem.

Yeah, I've had connection issues over the past week. Assumed it was all the system upgrade work happening in the background. No issues now. *touch wood*

A weird thing is happening as of this typing where the "View the newest post since your last visit:" links in my email notifications aren't taking me to the newest posts, but instead just to the top of each thread's most recent page.

Hm, the 'Mark forums read' link seems to have stopped working sometime overnight. It doesn't go to the confirmation page but links straight back to the main page of the forums, and doesn't clear the unread marks. 'Mark topics read' within an individual forum still seems to work OK.

I just tried to report a spam post and got a Kremzeek page upon submitting the report.

Minor issue, but the "tongue" emoji keep outputting as the "razz" emoji. (The "razz" emoji itself works properly.)
