sounds like Maximum Overdrive though that had more trucks then cars....

wasn't there a film called Trucks? Or something similar.. About.. um.. trucks and cars that came to life for no reason... I saw it years ago...

heh...funny, cause according to IMDB, Trucks is another version of Maximum Overdrive.only a cheaper TV movie version.

Trucks was the name of the original Stephen King short story that Maximum Overdrive was based off of.

Sounds like the intro to A Nightmare on Elm Street IV
Was the guy in a junkyard(with carsd all piled up around him) and he had a black and white spotted dog, who pissed out fire and it formed a grave for the bones of Freddy Krueger to come up and cause havok all over again?

No, he was just surrounded by cars and it faded out.
I actually just remembered it was either an episode of the twilight zone or the movie christine.

Just read that story,
Can't see it making a very good movie,
It doesn't have much of an ending...

I haven't watched it in a while, but the movie is a lot better than the story. Funny, its usually the other way around. The movie is typical 80's action/sci fi fodder.
