After the Cybertronian High Council agreed to creat a Cyber-Factory in Detroit,Earth became home to a new Generation.Classified as G2 Transformers,the protoforms utilized a combination of new and old style protoforms.Among these created was Rapido,a speedster who became infused with forestonite gas,giving him the ability to dash at near transwarp speeds for 5 second bursts.Armed with nucleon shuriken,he serves under fellow G2 Autobot,Spark Prime.
