The stamp says only : "Takara, Japan"
Whereas MINE says "hasbro, 1980-1982; Takara 1980-1982 japan"
Is it possibile that he's just a pre-hasbro version?
I think so, but I can be more certain tomorrow or after tomorrow as I'm going to receive a KO Wheeljack and I'll check it and then post here (with a photo if possible).

Actually I won't need to take a photo as you can check one right in here: http://www.kotransformers.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=2&MMN_position=4:3
It's exactly as it is on mine received today.

dabattousai wrote:I know there is a KO Swoop and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can identify the real from the fake. Did the KO come with tech spec decoder and Toy Catalog, etc?
dabattousai wrote:Ah that second link was most helpful. Thank you for that information!
vectorA3 wrote:funny sig!!! Megs is nearly bigger than the boy! Disney Prime? yuck... looks better in truck mode if anything.
vectorA3 wrote:i think it was $30-40 at least. Maybe more. I wanted him so bad back in the day, i drooled everytime i saw the box.
Will anyone answer my question about KOs at botcon?>?
vectorA3 wrote:i hate to be devil's advocate (b/c i want the price to be low), but u must know that the price I mentioned was 25 yrs. ago. Should be adjusted for inflation. And that $90 tag u saw is probably technically what it should be
vectorA3 wrote:The first standard i was going by for inflation was Star Wars figures -they were $2.50 -$3 around then. Now they are $8+ (yikes). So 3 x 30 = $90 roughly. But now when i think about it, 90 does sound high. Extorted price. If H/Tak were to re-release it should probably be $50-$60 even with working electronics. The entity who owns the rights to Shockwave are real bastards. Chase it with all of your might Hasbro!! The fans will back you up!! (that goes for Jetfire too!!)
