last year I bought a 1/55th scale Focker's VF-1s at SDCC. Always thought it was bada$$ and it is the JF mold I think. I wasn't going to put repro labels on it/paint it. Looks too cool as it is with the skulls on the tail. Just talking about it makes me want to open it and play --only opened once and didn't transform it. (duh! what am i doing>??)

Be careful when buying G1 KOs on ioffer because there's a thief selling them for very good prices and then sending wrong items (e.g. pens) to people by EMS (I suppose he does that so that he can say to PayPal that he sent the items). That seller started with the account 'kuanling23s', then after emptying all the items for sale he created another store with a similar name and now he created another one. We can see it is the same person because the descriptions are the same, he always has 1 positive feedback in the beginning and answers speaking in the same way as if he didn't know english well.

Yes, I feel like an idiot for having believed in this seller. It sounded fishy from the beginning because the prices were very good compared to the other sellers. But he answered everything and it seemed to be real.

I'll write here again on Friday after receiving the package and confirming if I was actually deceived just like others were.

Anyway, this is a warn to everyone not to buy from this seller... If I was deceived I hope I'll get my money back from PayPal

Yeah, and ebay is really expensive to sell over there... At least on ioffer they only charge you for items you actually sell, while on ebay they charge just to post the items for sale and then again if you sell them, but if you don't... you already paid an amount

I'll post again tomorrow after receiving my package because something is comming, but I guess what is inside the package. I'm wondering if it's also a freakin' pen... The guy seems to have a well thought plan, but it's never 100% fail proof, hopefully he will be caught. At least everytime I see a sale of his I'll write there advising people not to buy. And I urge everyone who was con by him to do the same.

But I tell you, man, I really hope I'm wrong and that I actually receive what I ordered. I don't know if he deceived everyone, but he probably did. I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow.

Whatever happened to the rumor of G1 Reflector in American style packaging? I'm not a fan of KOs at all, but I'd like an American\English box for Reflector.

I have no idea... The only thing I saw related to that was someone on TFW2005 who did a custom box and even painted the KO in cartoon colors. It looked very good!

I hope u don't get burned capella. But if things go awry, at least u have a chance to recoup your losses. I got burned badly in a 'trade' last year by a guy who was working in China. It was roughly $300 worth of TF for 200 worth of Star Wars stuff from me. It cost over $100 for me to mail and I never got the items in trade from him. I tried tracking and everything. Be careful when you do int'l trades or don't do them at all to be safe.

So far all of my "bad" trades have been with people from the USA, there's a reason I'm avoiding things like iOffer now, it's better to pay ebay and paypal for $10 than to get shanked at a hoax-site like iOffer.

don't get me wrong, i've had successful int'l trades and purchases, but I got burned bigtime on Star wars. The guy's name was Dennis Wong. Don't deal with him. Douchebag.

It's not ioffer's fault if there are bad sellers doing business on there, but they do need to kick them out -once they're found out

The problem is that he sent pens by EMS (with tracking number)... I've filed a dispute on PayPal and they said the seller couldn't answer (maybe he already has his account limited) and that I could escalate to claim. I did that and... they simply closed it saying that this case isn't covered by the PayPal Buyer Protection, but I found on their website that it is. I've already sent them 3 emails to actually investigate this. It's ridiculous! they have many people comlpaining about the same seller, stating about receiving pens or not receiving anything and they seem to be considering only those who didn't receive anything, which are the lucky ones who got a non-working tracking number. This can't end like this. Because if it does, our conclusion is: we can sell things we don't have, send a f**kin' pen by a trackable shipment, and voilá! The buyer can't complain!! OMG! F**kin' amazing!

Still when their page said that the claim was closed without refund, it also said that if that account receives many claims they may reopen and decide to refund. Yeah, sure...

I'm going to keep pushing on them.

I've done some many international trades and never got problems. This was a con who planned everything well and built a great scheme to rob money from people. Seems like in the end PayPal is with him!!

This is ridiculous! I am so pissed off and I need my money!

OMG, this is getting more and more out of control. The damn bastard seems to be changing his new con accounts. I came across another strange account, which copied the listings from t800pro (from whom I bought before). This new one is radley. Please be careful, he seems to be the same con seller. Besides having copied from t800pro, he copied wrongly some titles, and for instance take a look at the Reflactor one with the Shockwave title which already has one person asking him for prices and he wrote sentences just like the con seller in strange english with similar contents, and prices too good to be true.

The guy is like a damn virus, he's adapting.

I've sent this info to ioffer.

hey guys im new. Name is Jim, so excuse the newbness,i bought a g1 devastator when i was younger about 11yrs ago,do the ko's come with rub signs? Im gonna be really pissed if its a KO,my hook says right by the hoist (hasbro takara co. ltd japan 1980 1984). Also are the unused g1 sticker sheets on ebay ko's? Would you guys put them on your g1's with missing stickers?

Pretty sure that's not a KO (they are more recent) and for stickers, I'd go for reprolabels instead of KO stickers. don't burn yourself.

Hello! This thread is awesome! I am actually on a mailing list from a fairly prominent dealer in these high-quality knockoffs, and he sent out pictures of the Blue Bluestreak over a year ago. I asked him when it was coming out, and he said he never got a release date and hasn't had any info since. Were these ever made available? He has been selling every single other knockoff on the list here, but not Blue Bluestreak, and I really want one

Ok, so I'm a little late to this thread, but I'm hoping someone still reads it. I don't have time to read through 6 pages, so forgive me if this question has been asked already. I've been collecting the TRU exclusive reissues of the G1 transformers. To me they are just as good as the original, minus the whole weapon issue. I've also purchased a few of the Takara reissues (in the white box) because TRU hasn't made certain figures. My question is, I've been seeing a lot of "Encore" reissues that come in boxes with Japanese writing. They have quite a few that I want that haven't been released by either of the previous sets. However, I've noticed the prices seem rather reasonable and I'm scared these might cheap knockoffs that will fall apart as soon as I take them out of the box. Does anyone know if these are quality worth purchasing? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you will find that these "Encore" versions you speak off are actually official Takara reissues, much like the Book versions (white box) you talk of.

Have fun with them! they're a lot cheaper. You can Find Encore01 (Convoy) for less than $20 online, now try that with the Book Reissue #0 Prime!

P.S. I think the quality of the Encore's is better than the Universe releases, I've seen way to many universe primes with missing wheels of roller, half sprue's etc. Not a QC issue you'll encounter with the Takara Encores.
