Granted, the jet is not the sleekest and those giant canons are a joke. But the overall Transformers is so fun and clever that it's one of my favorite mold ever!
It also inspired me for a LOT of customs. Check-out my lab!

I actually really love that mold. The "Deep Space" Starscream is among my most favorite TF's period. At the time, and even now, I thought it was a truly unique figure. From his stature to his transformation (which was a crazy fresh take on the traditional Seeker by the way) I was so taken that for good or bad I haven't bought another movie Seeker since.Black Hat wrote:Oh god, that mold. Yeah, I have kind of a love-hate relationship with the mold. I have 2007 Movie Thundercracker, and I adore the robot mode- the deco, the headsculpt, the everything. Sure he could do with proper hands, but the triple-missile-pod-things are awesome. But the jet mode just kills it for me. The leg kibble doesn't bother me so much- it's the arms underneath the wings. They just completely ruin any illusion of the thing flying. A shame because like I say, I REALLY dig the robot mode. But then I am a stickler for good alternate modes, especially jets, and so I'm always disappointed when the alt mode sucks.
I would totally kill for that pink colourscheme to be applied to a better Seeker mold though. Even the dated-as-hell Classics Seeker.

I am not picky about which Metroplex I get, whether the T30 one, or any Takara Version. However...My patience finally paid off. There is occasionally a seller whom I believe, doesn't quite know what they have. I checked feedback, they are reputable, and in my own state, so....I was able to purchase a *NIB* T30 Metroplex for $221 shipped. Finally......It should be here within a week, Hopefully all goes well.
This was probably #3 on my most difficult to obtain list, the others I'm not so much of in a hurry to get because they are smaller items, and convention exclusives, so I'll bide my time.

The way i got him was by contacting special online ordering service from a local hobby called Nexus.
They can contact online retailers and get them mailed here free to Iceland free of added extra charge when the toy arrives and i contacted them in October last year.
The ship got delayed through customs until 23rd of December and he finally arrived right before christmas.
I had been anticipating him for so long all year after i heard he was in the toyline but because of the Toys'R'Us bankruptcy being so slow here i never knew why wave 3 never seemed to arrive (we only got wave 1 and 2)
Still need G1 Pretender Bludgeon set, but i cant afford finding him on ebay for ridiculous prices but i can accept a donation.

Unicron of Light is a fantastic purchase that I never planned to get, and now that I have it, I never want to let it go. I have a Green Unicron!
G1 Jetfire, 100% complete, and white. Such a rare figure to get in this condition, so I feel really blessed to have gotten him for $100 at a local collectors store. He may be the closest I have to a holy grail.
G1 Doubledealer, same as Jetfire really, something so awesome to have and so hard to find in perfect complete condition.

I’m in kind of the same boat you were in. For me, at the time of his release, I couldn’t afford one at full price, and the only Costco near me never got him at that ridiculously cheap $60 price point. He’s one that I’ve wanted for a while, but I’m really, really not sure about dropping $270 on him. He looks awesome, but my worry is that he’ll just sit on top of my toy cases, and not ever be played with, just like my Fort Max. Max isn’t exactly a fun toy. I do prefer to get some sort of mileage out of my toys,

The others would be the Build-A-Figure Ratchets from BC 2016. In hindsight, if I was smart, I would have taken my entire family to BC, and had us each sign up for the class, and get all 4 different decos. (Medix, G2, SG, and MC)*-The standard Ratchet I already have thanks to UW*- I've seen less expensive ways to make them using stripped down and re painted CW First Aid figures, but I am not that talented. Which is why I've refrained from purchasing unpainted BC Ratchet and sticker sheets, though they can still be found at the moment.

If anything I think the TF Animated Botcon Stunticon box set would be my holy grail. I so love Animated, and I adore the toys not just for their screen accuracy, and unique style, but also because I’d the sheer enjoyment I get out of fiddling with them. I’ve wanted that exclusive box set real, real bad.

I'm so glad I have this now, but I feel I have a bit of a unique perspective. most who wanted this toy got it 5-6 years ago when it was first released, under the former design team. I was just thinking of getting back in, so honestly, until now, I never really handled anything from the former design team.
Now having Metro in hand, saying Fort Max is a straight up copy isn't really accurate. Much was changed from Metro to make Fort Max. To me, metro is a much more loosey-goosey figure that is difficult to stand up under its own legs. Fort Max feels more solid to me. Also in the last few lines, we've seen much more of an effort to have toys in general try to all tab in nicely. Metro has very little of that.
He is an awesome toy, no doubt there, but I feel like he could break very easily, especially in some of the transformations, such as when the back flaps of the legs come out for city mode. Not sure if I am doing something wrong in the transformation, but they feel very tight, and snap hard when coming around.

Sometimes I wish I had bought more than one when they were on clearance at BBTS for $4 in 2005. They were still available at that price as late as 2007! Funny how something BBTS just couldn't get rid of for five years or so is now $75 on eBay.

Coming from someone who recently obtained AM Elites...I can't help but think this is a bit of a joke..
Also, just because someone is asking $75, dosen't mean it's selling for that. Looks like they range between $30-$50 when sold
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R ... rn&_sop=15
It's been such a long time since I went looking for an original series Transformer on eBay...I can't believe the prices now. I remember fretting over getting LioKaiser for $300, or Raiden for about the same amount. I also paid for Raiden with a Western Union wire...a gamble I'll never take again, but glad the seller was honest. Of course this was all between 2000-2002. I can't believe in fact I've had my eBay account for 20 years, as of 2 months ago... Makes me want to sing...
