- Motto: "We all gotta die sometime"
- Weapon: Corrosive Acid Bolt Gun
It has been now 100 years since the beings known as the Transformers left our world. Rival groups of sentient mechanoids called this planet a temporary home and battle ground for 60 years. Both humans and transformers have perished in subseqent numbers in that time. One group called themselves the Autobots, they were supposed to be the protectors of life. In the end however they were guilty of just as much bloodshed it seemed as were their rival group the Decepticons. The Decepticons were the stuff of nightmares, cutting a swath of death and destruction everywhere they appeared.
The Autobots as the stories told weren"t really the bad guys in their epic tales, and many today still look at them as heroes. However they tried, it seemed whenever a skirmish broke out between the two groups humans lives were invariably lost. It would of course be the same if it were human combatants, but it seems all the more terrifying when you consider the size of those that were doing the fighting. Data chips from the past show them ranging in size from 14 feet to 150 feet...rumors still abound about secret "lost" chips that show a fortress get up and walk away...but that is simply too much for anyone to believe.
Looking around one can see still their marks upon the landscape. As a goodwill gesture before leaving the Autobots erected cubes as large as houses all over the planet to warn us if anymore of their kind return. As of yet none have returned, I imagine we would be no better off against them if they were for it was always a trait of theirs to be able to hide amongst us and not be seen until they so willed it.
Few names are known to us of their numbers. Some are legendary Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream. Others are known by the carnage they caused Devastator for example. Still a few are revered as heroes for sacrificing their lives in order to protect ours Ratchet, Prowl. Graves in a few places are known to exist, some are marked by "tombstones" made by their fellow Transformers, and some are simply spots where a Transformer in whatever manner is said to be buried.
Technology gained by their presence, shared or stolen from them has enabled us to make great leaps forward in our continued tecnological evolution, our current space station that now orbits our planet would have been impossible had "they" not come. Our shared worldwide military is stronger for their arrival, things at first were very chaotic with everyone grabbing pieces from here and there...but now everyone is on equal ground- even if some are more equal than others. Medicine has advanced to impossible heights as well, with cybernetics making the seemingly impossible possible.
My grandfather told me once of a time when he was just a little boy, how he had come across a small group of Autobots marching through a wooded area. Suddenly he said you could feel a vibration in the ground, and then the heavy sounds of their walking "crushing" fallen trees and limbs and there they were walking, just passing through it seemed talking amongst themselves, hardly even taking notice of me as they passed by.
Although the number of people who were touched by the hand of fate when it comes to contact with these mechanoids is/was many and a number of articles, webisodes, and even a few movies have been made about peoples interaction with the transformers I know of very few who have actually had personal contact with them. Charlatans abound when it comes to this subject, but we know now by the way time and tide have revealed the truth that almost all claims of personal interaction are false. The awful truth of the matter is that those who did have a personal relationship with the Cybertronians as this is where they are from and more properly named" did not enjoy a long life. Those who did survive close contact never spoke of it publicly and very rarely privatly.
100 years have now passed since a Cybertronian foot has tread this Earthen landscape, if God be good they never will again.
Besides they left the boxes behind to warn us if they were to return....right?
