Sorry, I had my prices mixed up, I was thinking of a 1/100 scale KO recast for around $200!

As much as I love resin, I'd much rather have a plastic kit simply due to the weight, the design of Kshatriya would have heavy solid resin pieces hanging off everywhere, forget about articulation, I'd be worried about the whole thing breaking haha! I guess lots of brass pinning would be in order lol.

Hey guys got a question. I was looking at picking up some Gundam 00 Thrones and found only one in the 1/100 scale (Drei) and two in the 1/144 scale (Zwei and the girls). The Drei is also in the 1/144 scale. Is there really that big of a difference because I know the Drei combines with his sister but obviously a 1/100 won't combine with a 1/144. Do the Zwei and the girls' come in 1/100 or am I better off getting all three in 1/144?

I'm not sure where you've found a 1/100 Throne Drei, I never knew that existed. And there's only one Female Throne, the rest are guys. I have all three 1/114's and can vouch that they are awesome.

Does the Arche Gundam come in 1/100th? It could be pretty easy to mix up the Arche and the Drei.

How about a 1/100 Eins, that's what I saw and the other two were 1/144 the Zwei and the girls is Drei. The only 1/100 was the Eins. I assume the Eins is the only one to come 1/100 and 1/144?

Oddly enough no, there are no enemy 1/100 Kits from Gundam 00 S2.

I think that the binders would be especially worrisome without reinforcement!

I suggest the 1/144 HGUC Acguy kit for a few reasons.

First, it's one of my favourite Zeon MS designs.

Secondly, the kit is newer than the Gogg, which brings with it more advanced model kit design. It has mechanical detail underneath the armour pieces of the arms, legs, and head, which mimics somewhat the inner frame details of MG kits. You have a great degree of movement for positioning its mono eye as well.

Lastly, it has surprisingly good articulation for its design. It's a fun model to pose. :)

I thought the Acguy was kind of cute. It looked a little like a big-headed cyclops duck...

I also thought the Gogg was a fatty-fat-fat, too. Do you happen to have the HGUC/0080 Hygog?

The Acguy looks like a bute mole mecha to me, hehe.

I don't have the HGUC Hygogg kit yet but one of my goals in gunpla is to collect all the available HGUC kits of Mobile Suits from MSG 0080 as it's my 2nd favourite Gundam series(The original Mobile Suit Gundam is my favourite.).

I just like to have the best representation of a MS. I don't have anything against HGUC, but they are throwing out MGs left right and center these days, so I'll gladly wait and be hopeful for a MG release.

I'd only buy PGs if there were more of them...

Okay. Admittedly, I haven't seen Z or ZZ Gundam. Why does The O cost so much? I don't get the appeal. I played one of the old 2D Gundam fighting games, and recall it having a couple of hidden arms with blades on them, but that's my only exposure to this mobile suit.

Also, MG Deathscythe is looking good despite my bias against it.

I believe the cost of the O is primarily because it is huge compared to other MG's. It does have the hidden arms, but i can't imagine that being a major factor in the price.

For what it's worth, the kit does not appeal to me at all.

If you haven't seen Zeta Gundam you are missing out. ZZ wasn't as good, but Zeta still is the best series in my opinion. The O is a must buy and will be extremely popular in Japan where Zeta is still popular. This is a kit for the old school fans and will hopefully bring some of the newer fans back to a classic series.

The price is because of the suits size. It is a massive kit as you can see when it is placed next to MG Zeta or when it was placed on the two linked action bases.

The price of the MG The O kit is certainly partly due to the sheer size of the kit but I think it's just part of Bandai's trend of ever increasing price tags for their products. Look at the steady rise of HG kit prices where now it seems like 1600 yen is the average and we're seeing more in the 1800 yen or above range down the road. Then take a look at their high end action figure products like S.H. Figuarts, Hi-Metal, S.I.C., and so on. However, some of their products are very well priced like their S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii figures, which are remarkable 3.75"-4" figures that are between 1000 and 1200 yen on average. I compare that to a $10 3.75" Hasbro Marvel figure, which is great but doesn't come close to what the S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii figures offer.

I don't know about the size. In truth the kit isn't that much bigger than a MG FAZZ.

But yeah. Bandai is getting retarded lately with their pricing. Personally, I can't justify spending that kind of money on some of their newer kits.

EDIT: I'm kinda considering getting the new MG Deathscythe, even though the white head on the KA version looks weird to me. Dunno, anyone think it would look weird painted black so it looked more like the anime version? That's really my only beef with the kit
