Well folks, the time has finally come. I'm no longer the HMW programmer, nor a part of the SEIBERTRON.com staff. I won't pretend that the split has been entirely amicable, but it could have been worse (and I want to achieve that rarity of an ex-staff member's leaving post which doesn't get deleted!).

I want to extend my thanks to all those who've supported and encouraged me over the last couple of years, and those who've contributed ideas or let me bounce ideas off them. From the start, HMW has been an engaging challenge that I've wanted to work on for its own sake, but having a community of dedicated and enthusiastic users has added a hell of a lot to the experience for me. Many of you guys are a real asset to the game and the site, and damn near all of you are more pleasant to talk to than 90% of the rest of the net.

To all those who encouraged me, my thanks. To those who waited patiently for features that, in the end, I wasn't able to deliver, my apologies.

To my mods, Mkall and Alpha Strike (and War Hammer, wherever you are): thanks for helping me out and keeping the place tidy for me. It's been great to work with you.

To my support staff, Burn, -Soundwave-, Hoistimus and sprockitz: Thank you for all your efforts in organising tournaments, keeping the forums lively and throwing ideas at me. I'm sorry that the project never really got off the ground, and that I never got the tools I needed to give you the responsibilities within the game that I wanted to. I hope that OS will be able to do more for you and with you than I was given the opportunity to.

To Omega Sentinel: Good luck. I don't really know you that well, but I hope you find programming HMW to be as interesting and rewarding a challenge as I have at many times during my tenure.

You guys probably won't see much of me from this point on. I may still hang around the site, but I doubt I'll play HMW much or spend a lot of time in this forum - the whole episode has left a somewhat sour taste in my mouth, and I've always been more interested in developing the game than playing it anyway. Hopefully I'll catch up with some of you in other parts of the site or elsewhere on the Interwebs, and I'll miss many of you that I won't speak to again.

G, you have kept this place together for so long, its the end of an era now you are leaving.

All we can ask is that you stick around and occasionally let us all know that you are still alive and all is well, and you try to remember why you joined this game in the first place.

Take care my friend, and keep in touch, my best to Holybunny, Daniel and youself for the future.
I hope to actually see you in Manchester one day too.

Seriously, i'd love to see you still on board. I've held onto this seemingly impossible dream this game can be made great so i'll hold onto this seemingly impossible dream that a way will be found to keep you on board somehow. :grin:

Either way, best wishes to you and the family, and thanks for all the work you've done. I know I personally probably gave you a few headaches.

Hey Glyph, had to pop in and stay cheers and all the best to one of the nicest and most dedicated members and staffers that I've known at this site, and on the interwebs in general.
It was fun to be on the same staff team with you, and really neat to meet you at AA that time; I've always admired your skills at both web-fu and internets diplomacy. Sorry that whatever reasons you have for quitting came up, and all the best mate.

I too wish to extend my goodbyes and well wishes to you and yours Glyph. I honestly think that your behind the scenes work PRIOR to becoming the H=M=Dub programmer AND then your work after acquiring the title and responsibilities really has set a presidence for how the game can and could be.

I appreciated the fact that you took time to update with things like the "Diary of a Game," the Christmas Alt Modes, and many others. It was nice of you to do, and I'm certain difficult to do at times.

Wherever you're going, wherever you're headed I wish you the best of luck. Here's to Glyph:

Ur dedication toward the community and the game was great, i hardly see that in ppl, even in RL.
