That is absolutely certain. I would even say more people know of the blue redeco of Transmetal Megatron than the factthat Cryotek was once depected as a repaint of Energon Shockwave.

What the Club did with the tripedicus council is pretty amazing because they are now targetting everyone who has ever watched beast Wars and not just the hardcore fans. The problem with the niche community that would know of this is that it is very small. If every fan who knew of this cryotek body would buy a 60$ toy of it (might be more costly, remember, this is a voyager class, they cost more than deluxes in souvenir sets), then I am sure Botcon wouldnt mind looking into finally doing it, but something tells me that is not the case.

A mere quibble in regard to the point that the design is 10 (ok, then, 9... by the time of BotCon 2016) years old.

I know I'm a lurker here, and a bit late to the party. Some of you (Like GB) may have seen these before. I just thought I'd share some alternative designs that incorporate the toy color common to all three figures, while still retaining show accuracy and breaking up that mash of red. (I'm not entirely sure how Brawl is laid out, as we don't have him in hand yet.) Cicadicon needed the most help. I have eliminated the yellow and black, to stop the resemblance to Armada Starscream. The wings are now entirely cast in white, and the black tampographs are now an orange-ish pink, emulating his wings. This actually SAVES the trouble of printing white over red and saves money on an entire tampograph color!

Good, bad or ugly, we're getting what we're getting, and I just figured I'd offer a slight alternative that may have a more palatable palette. XD

Since I was specifically mentioned, I'll give my two cents.

First of all, a disclaimer: I know little about the mold layouts of these figures. For all I know, the suggestions here aren't possible for any number of reasons (be they mold layouts or the time between reveals and production). Likewise, for all I know, there's no problem whatsoever. You've clearly attempted to pay attention to these things, so I'll assume these decos are, at least, theoretically possible.

I like them. I was never opposed to having red be the predominant color for the Tripredacus trio, but the official images we've seen were simply too much. These concepts go a long way toward correcting that.

I'm surprised I haven't seen a fan digibash of what the combined mode could look like. Although I'm eagerly awaiting that reveal. More so I'm awaiting registration with much impatience

It's a stretch, but I'm hoping for a Botcon 01/06 Tigatron homage in the souvenirs. I think that'd be pretty killer as the 01 Tigatron is still probably my most favorite Botcon exclusive.

And a Big Convoy in the souvenirs would be great, too! That way we can have Primal, Lio, and Big!
Maybe one day... :-D

Posted this 8 pages ago. I've been waiting for someone to take a better crack at it, and/or digibash the colors appropriately.

That would be a cool set up. Although I would have thought the upper body would have shared the primary three's deco with the bottom two being the darker colors for the legs.
Although that's the joy of scramble-city. It can fit to your heart's content!

And no worries man. Better than I could have done lol :D

That has to be a/his mistake, I know, some joints can be so tight that you don't want to risk forcing it, or maybe his was misassembled - a bigger issue if it is. I won't get concerned until more reviews for this guy come out >:oP

Yeah it wouldn't be totally unheard of for a mass-retail figure to have been misassembled or have some form of major QC error. If a lot of them are like that... Well. Here's to hoping Ramhorn will be fine lol

In theory, given that molds tighten over time, Ramhorn may be just fine since the mold will have tightened up some since this guy comes first :BOT:

According to this CyberCast interview with Pete Sinclair, they currently don't have samples of the BotCon toys yet.

Probably not, as it, technically, isn't a problem - much like Blitzwing's shoulders, so long as the pin is tight (and you never touch it, look at it, or take it out of the box) the figure isn't going to tip. Besides, they probably figure that everyone is just going to leave them combined - on a side note, I wonder where nosecone stores his drill in combined mode :-?

Same as Brawl in combined form. Its a small drill attached to the front of the turret like the canon is. So as a leg, it would be pointing up.

And for the price people are paying, you can be sure people will be posing them in robot mode, especially since the whole ppint is that they now have cartoon accurate figures of these characters so insert in their set.

Doesn't mean that it wouldn't have been used as an excuse along the line to pass it off without addressing a known flaw in the figure >:oP

Man, I cannot wait until registration goes live!
Kinda hoping it'll be tomorrow. One would think before next Friday since folks will still have some cash in their pockets before the whole Black Friday madness gets going. They sure have been talking about it here and there on Twitter. 20 weeks away (give or take a few days for those of us that like to show up early) and I couldn't be more excited.

Since the reveals were done so early, I have to wonder if they're going to break precedence. Show us something of the souvenirs, hint at them or something along those lines. I am pretty curious when we get to see the combined mode of the box set.
