Well the toys are due out in mid October...perhaps they're pushing both at the same time to help the items sell each other.
In one trip, you could have the movie, and it's cast.
Smart idea.

ive got a funny one...
my local cinema was playing 'the chronicles of narnia' until about 2 weeks before it came out on DVD.
Hows that?
i hope that date is really true. i would so love it. although...it would make me question what extras on the dvd would be...(ive seen the list) but whether or not they'd be any good either.

Im not gonna complain about such an early release date however as i cant wait to see the movie again, but this just seems too near to be true.
It ain't neccessarily too soon. Die Hard 4.0 been confirmed for a late October release date in Europe and that only came out a couple of weeks before Transformers didn't it? I'm presuming the US Die Hard DVD will be well out by the end of October so Transformers mightn't be too far behind

Hmm...true. Im just cynical, and since this is something i really want i dont expect to be able to get hold of it so soon, as i usually have to wait ages to get anything.

well with the imax post stating that with the release of transformers dvd in the fall so i would have to say that october 16th is correct but yeah the date could be subjected to change. as for one huge fan of transformers i am going to be waiting for this movie to come out on dvd. i want to see it again and again and again.

Spiderman will be released on Oct 30 and Shrek on Nov 13 So I think Transformers won't be out until at least Thanksgiving
