Okay, so I just got photoshop CS3, and I've been playing with all the new features that come along with it. Anywho, I need some help with this little piece I've been working on, like how to get that nice shine that the promotional pieces for the Animated characters have. And on another note, the program keeps griping me about upgrade status and won't let me advance with setting up the freakin' program, any help suggestions would be nice.

Looks great, but you're forgetting something that all Primes from the animated series have: THE CHIN!

If by shine you mean highlights.
There are many ways to do this. I'll tell you mine. I create a new layer and name it. I set the layer on color dodge. I choose a pure white color and set the layer fill to aroun 17% to 30 %, whichever you decide it's best.

You can also add effects(glow) to really make it shine but i don't think the animated toons have that.

I'm not a big fan of the Animated style myself, but you pulled it off exceptionally well! I think its because you actually didn't add the chin

Are you planning on doing any of the other BW cast?

Perhaps, I am working on a Rhinox design. But seriously, if anybody know any thing about photoshop cs3 I could really use some help. It keeps asking me for the serial number for my previous verion of photoshop, but I don't have a previous version. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think the head is a bit big but the rest is very good and inkeping with the style.

This style suits you. I like it. It certainly enables for more expression than Cybertron.
