Attention Fanartists: I put together a book for IDW (Transformers: The Ark) and am in the process of putting together two more. I'm going to be pitching some new ideas to IDW in a few months and have one that needs a variety of different artists - a Cute/Sexy Pinups style book. There are tons of female characters, robots and humans, in the Transformers mythos. If you are interested in participating, drop me a line at transformers the ark, at yahoo dot com. (no spaces, no commas) I've got several of the IDW regulars agreeing to do a piece or two if given the greenlight, but having some actual pieces in the pitch will make the project much more likely to go forward. This is a great chance to show off your talents and maybe get some published pieces.

Count me out, but I'm curious to see if there is actually a viable market for this... so, whether you'd see it as giving an adverse impression of the fandom or would snap one up in a trice, do chip in...

Both robots and humans?

This could get bad really quick. Any day now, IDW's office will be overwhelmed by a surge of fan-drawn Circuit Breaker porn.

I personally have no artistic talents, so count me out. I'd probably buy it though, if it was tasteful and well-drawn.

I'd be generally interested in something that showcases the female characters in the TF-verse... however, I find it rather boring that all they can think of is doing it "sexy" instead of something actually cool and action-y.

I might buy it, if the art is not overally sexual in nature.
I don't mind seeing the fembots and the human females in "More than Meets the Eye" style source book.

Now if you mean seeing characters like Elita-1 in a robotic swimsuit with Arcee holding one of her legs with an "I want to have sex with you" look on her face than no I can get that kind stuff any number of places.

I don't like those human/bot like above, but if they look dangerous, and kick-ass, then that's already sexy. I love fembots. I wish in a different world, more of them would appear in the TF universe, not just one crazy Arcee or just one Fembot among 20 male bots.

If they're done meaner looking and done in some serious bot armor it would be cool to have more humans female/male actually get their hands dirty! I too would like to see more kickass fembots. I loved the design of Thunderblast in robot mode from TFs Cybertron!

IDW went WAY beyond a pin-up book. However, it didn't help in the end. Skybound have the rights now.

BTW, Transformers aren't sexual beings but they can collaborate very closely indeed.

Sure, some TFs look sexy but would you really? I mean, the amount of sharp metal in there! :shock:
