Anyone notice this pattern in terms of engineering and design?

notice it seems like after each universe line (galaxy, beast wars, rotf, animated etc etc), the engineering and design alternate from classic to modern? one line will be complex and the next line/universe focusing on more classic retro.
I am the guy that buys the figures you want and sell them to you for twice to 3 times the price. Easiest money ever.
