are hastaks days numbered?

Do you love your new Hercules set? Can't get enough of FansProject's items? Upset that you bought a knock off when you thought you were getting an original? Use this forum to tell everyone your thoughts about unlicensed and knock off TF products.

12% is still a chunk. It seems small, yes, but it's enough that they still make fan-servicey figures still, like the new Tracks. I doubt there was much demand from kids for a new Tracks.

Just after Universe (Classics 2.0) I was wondering the very same thing, then Hasbro showed us Jazz, Tracks, Blurr, Scourge, Kup and Wheeljack and I'm thinking not.

Having said that, I take your point on being more excited about third party stuff - FansProject not-Broadside anyone? HOS Shockwave and Insecticons? Pretty damn exciting. Maybe I just want more boats.......

I think if and when Hasbro stop producing (g1) Classics style toys, then I for one might stop buying Hasbro Transformers. It's a big if though - they'll probably carry on doing g1 homages in some form for a long long time.

Thing is, the kids probably weren't after a new Tracks, but that doesn't mean they won't like him when they see him. I'm sure they consider whether or not older characters will sell to as much of the market as possible before including them in the main line.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

This. Classics, Universe, Generations, and RtS may be "geared" toward collectors, but there will still be plenty of kids who see them hanging on the pegs and want them.

I believe that's just TF merchandise. No idea how they calculate that percentage. I just recall it being a quote they gave at one of the cons at some point.
