this only applies to the movie, but think about the motive of the factions.

The Decepticons want the allspark to continue on their race by spawning more transformers.

The Autobots did not want Megs to do this and were even willing to destroy the allspark (and thus the future of their race) to do so.
they didn't seem to care if it got destroyed or not.

The Decepticons seem to be doing what is natural for for them to do, while the Autobots want to end all transformers.

It's just a thought.

It's called being selfless. The humans were being killed because of the Transformers mistakes. The bots would rather die protecting the humans than see them be drawn into a war that's not the humans war to begin with.

The Decepticons wanted to transform earth machines to build an army to conquer stuff, and the Autobots tried to stop that so no, I don't think they are malfuctioning.

Its most unfortunate the possible future generations of transformers were to be sacrificed in order to keep innocent bystanders from destruction. Like the Witwicky motto: No sacrifice, no victory. In this case the sacrifice is their source of life in order to keep the 'cons from conquering Earth, Cybertron, and every other planet in the universe.

I'm betting that there is gonna be some way for new Transformers to be born in TF2. Something tells me that the Allspark wasn't the only thing that could do it. I've been saying this for a while after seeing the images on the Allspark itself. If you look, theres more than one image of a circle that has some kind of spines coming out of it, the circle even has spots on it that sort of remind me of how Cybertron looks. This has me thinking that for all we know, Primus could have created the Allspark before he withdrew into himself and became the Transformer's home planet. The cube would ensure that the race would continue even if for some reason Primus couldn't create life anymore. So the Allspark isn't so much a God, but more like a tool used by one.

The new TF's that are introduced will not necessarily be brand new, right off the assembly line, TF's. These are some of those surviving cells of Autobots traveling the stars in search of the All Spark that receive Prime's message and come to Earth. The Decepticons coming are reinforcements led by Starscream. Megatron should be revived later in the film or reborn as Galvatron.

I was asking that very same question myself. The only response I ever got is that factions are dependent on the alt mode. Take it for what it is I guess.

So a Moutain Dew machine is considered a military vehicle (since Dispensor is a Decepticon) and a turret buggy (Landmine) is a pedestrian car?

exactly, why is a car sterring wheel evil??? or an xbox?? or a phone??? of all the dumb things people moan about not being explained in the film, this is one i could never understand, why does the allspark only create evil things??? does it mean there is something equal out there that makes good bots?? or did it used to create good bots and has been alterred???

The little bots made by the Allspark probably aren't self-aware right after they are created. That has to be why Dispensor started firing the soda cans and why the steering wheel attacked. The wheel could have also been part of a whole Transformer(Stockade anyone?)

just think about it. If you were just waking up, and found people inside you, or putting change in you, or walking out of a store with you in a box, wouldn't you be like "WTF? get out!" and start going ape **** all over them?

Megatron wanted to dominate the universe for himself meaning he would use the alspark to give HIMSELF ultimate power.

Prime sent the cude into space to prevent megs from doing this, but realized that the cube was need for the planet and to beat megatron if he ever got it.

the selflessness comes into play when Prime finds and prime would rater sacrife the future of transformers than to have Megatron dominate ruthlessly.

that's what I got from it.

I never felt that any of the new bots were evil at all.

I saw it that they were basicly reacting as a new born baby would.

The actions they took was the equivalent to a babies cry or a temper tantrum.

Theres also the possibility that since many of earths tech was reveresed engenired from the frozen Megatron.....that they all retained some form of Megatron's personalty.

It was said but it was said by the Autobots.And the Autobots havent had much contact with Megatron in at least a few thousand years.

But it would still be the most likly plan for Megatron....but there's still no reason to believe that the all spark can only creat evil bots.

Its more likely that who ever controls the cube influances the life it creates.
