Hey APAP! Been a while...
Sorry I dropped off the face of the planet for a while, had some family tragedies recently that needed some attention.

But back to robots.

I threw my MP-10 up on a different shelf with some different lighting and I kind of love it.

I post these long "reviews" on facebook, where I have friends who know as much about transformers as I do keeping my waistline in check. I essentially just copy/paste from there which is why there's info in here that you already know.





Every once in a while there's a transformer figure that I decide that I don't want and then later change my mind on. It's an annoying process that often leaves me frustrated because then the figure that I desired is long gone from store shelves and I am forced to purchase it on the aftermarket for more money than three oil tycoons who pick gold flakes out from their teeth using diamond tooth picks that they then toss away.

but i digress

Chromedome was one of the characters from a Transformers toy line in the 80's called Headmasters, where the robots had their heads removed and turned into littler robots who are then perpetually haunted by all the memories of a million year long war and the emotional baggage that comes along with Cybertronian PTSD. But you get a really cool name like Stylor, who is Chromedome's Headmaster.

These days they're called Titan Masters instead of Headmasters for some undisclosed reason. I wanted to be all in for this toy line because I like having big robots that have tiny robots that I'm terrified of losing behind or under something. While I wanted all of them, when I saw Chromedome on the shelves at Toys R' Us, I passed on him because he's BORING. His buddies turn into tanks, and helicopters, and aircraft carriers, and he turns into a brown car. Why would I pick up a guy that turns into a brown car when I can have a robot who turns onto a tank with drills on it or a two-headed dragon robot?

Because I'm an idiot toy collector, THAT'S WHY!

After hmm'ing and haw'ing for a month I picked up Chromedome and to my surprise I found that I wasn't surprised at all at how boring he is. He turns into a brown car. And normally he's a brown robot who's as generic as you can get. He doesn't even have eyes and a mouth, instead having a Georgie LaForge visor and a blank mouth plate. Then as I started playing with the thing I found that he's actually not terrible. Sure he looks boring, but he's got more poseability than a cow.

He's got a lumpy backpack, he's got chunky arms, and he's got giant box legs. If he had a fat rear and flabby stomach he'd look like me; brown chunky and boring! But despite all his "guy wearing boxes" proportions, he can pose pretty well and looks good standing on a shelf with the other Titan Master figures I've gotten.

But he's still boring.

Aw thanks! You should follow better photo people than myself, like Cyberpath or SW's Silverhammer. They do excellent stuff on the boards.

I just remembered I had something to post!
I haven't had much chance to take photos lately, but I couldn't help myself yesterday when I finally unboxed him. Had to see what sort of menacing poses he could pull off.

It's the Prime Star hammer I got from https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ails/56208 when it was first in stock back in November. It's made for MPM Bee but I think it looks great with TLK Bee (since it's the matching body design anyways). This Bee is Hasbro's one with a bot of extra paint (and tiny bits of axpoxie filling in the hollow parts of the feet). I don't need Takara's one but I may get their Hound because of the big shield that bulks up the vehicle mode.
