I kow it says post customs in customs forum but I don't think this amateur painting job of my Studio Series Optimus Prime is good enough to warrant it's own thread there so I posting here. Hope that ok.
Just wanted to make it look more accurate and also metal and worn.
Despite the figure's flaws there's a chance it might become my fave Voyager scale movie Optimus figure cos it's just darn fun and less fiddly than most of the others (truck mode needs improving though). Now am just awaiting a couple extra lil pots of paint (mainly brass type of colour) Toyhax finishing up their sticker sheet for this figure cos I cannot paint the flames very well at all.

I was able to visit the National World War II Memorial this weekend. What a beautiful place. I had Bumblebee with me at the time.


He rolled backwards off of that ledge after the picture, dropped 10'-15', and survived without any scratches or breaks!!

Thank you! I have been lately, odds are I'll have an idea of what a good shot would be when I arrive at a location, executing it may or may not happen the way I want though. Luckily, my customized AoE Bumblebee photographs well

If I could drive I might keep a Transformer or two in there somewhere if I happened upon a nice location. I suppose I could put a small one in my backpack when I cycle about. How come it's AoE Bee there? I mean, I love the guy (and it's a fun toy i also customed too) but your sig and avatar would suggest a certain young G1 punk.

That's the way to go, just have a bot or two at all times!!

I rotate out photos pretty frequently, and I think it may be time for a new one! Really though, deluxe AoE is pretty compact in alt mode, and after I painted him up he looks tons better in alt AND bot mode. He's a fun Transformer, and I'm proud of my work on him, I suppose those are a few reasons I had him on that trip.

Fairlady Z emblems, and headlights for chestes
Rear wheel roller skates, and fin crest head dresses
Hatchback bell bottoms
and car doors for wings
These are a few of my favorite things.
These guys really are my quintessential Transformers!
I love the Datsuns in any form.

I'm a Datsun lover, too. A 240 is a dream car for me. In fact, I ran into a real Smokescreen recently!
And then a Bluestreak pulled up next to him!

240Zs are beautiful machines. The 280Z (like the Datsun bros) are pretty nice too. I guess it was last year that Carytheone, Cobotron and myself found a classic car dealer online that had blue Bluestreak, regular Streak Bluestreak, AND Silverstreak available for purchase. It was bananas.

Speaking of blue, here's blue and red.
