This was one my favorite Transformers sub-line. Dragons and monster alt-modes are more fun to me than space vehicles. There need to be more Dragon transformers!

) and I did get Vertebreak over Lazerback, I liked the colors more, plus he fit my headcanon "elemental" motif more (Ripclaw for Fire, Skystalker for Water/Ice, Grimwing for Wind/Thunder and Vertebreak for Earth). I'm just missing three of them and it bothers me that I'm missing them! That damn Deathsaurus reprolabels set made Darksteel IMPOSSIBLE to find!

Say, Trypticon is SUPPOSED to do this, right? Or did I just fan mode him into a hunched, armless-dino? I mean the tail opens like a mouth and he's got eye-looking bits. Is this a mode?

You just helped me remember where my missing T30 scamper was. Still trapped inside Trypticon's tail from the last time I played with everything in city mode.

It's a semi-fan mode. A laid flat version appeared in the Legends manga as a "baby stage" for the new Trypticon, devouring Akihabara like how the Chompazoid Underbite ate Nuon City. It's an homage to Shin Godzilla.
