It amuses me that this is the first toy of the Ark we ever got. It's not the G1 Ark, but to be honest I still really like this thing. Throw some Legends class guys on it and it's looking good!

Also: if you think it looks dusty now, you should have seen it when I took it off the shelf. Holy crap.

And well, what did you expect? The G1 guy is a moldmate of a toy that already existed from Earthrise, the BW guy would require a new mold. A Leader-class one at that, in order to not suck.
Although frankly, for the BW guy, a reissue would be better than any Generations version could possibly be.

I've only got one KO mashup, fairly tame as such things go: Undersize Classics Mirage with Cybertron Optimus' head. It was in bright blue and bright red at first. I was working on painting it green... I need to get back to that.

I aspire to getting my hands on that 17-piece monstrosity some day.

Oh, agreed. Such an alternate universe of strangeness, these odd KO relics. I think someone's got the Super Combination Robot B/O 17 in 1 you just showed MISB on eBay right now. They are asking $2,500. Absolutely bonkers.

Somehow, these expensive Transformers ended up getting lead away from Axiom Nexus by Bugbite and The BuggyMan back to Gargent 786.0 Gamma, where they lived an awkward existence with very little plot, utilizing the Machine Robo Battle Base as their home and weapon of choice in the endless war against the Gyandlar (multi-versial cousins of the Devil Invaders).

If this confuses you, just consult Vector Prime. Ok?
