Yes, and D800, love at first sight! But for this kind of stuff I think any decent DSLR will do; it's largely in the light quality and framing.

I should consider getting back into proper camera maintenance and knowledge. All I know about mine is that it's a Nikon CoolPixS8200, and how to fiddle with settings to get some decent exposure and lighting.

Thanks! Not familair with that model, but I love my Coolpix P510, still use it sometimes, it's almost too awesome. Sometimes those bridge and pocket cameras have certain advantages over reflex cams.

You know, after saying how much I hated Windblade's design, I gotta say that, after getting her, she's pretty cool! I still don't know why the eff they're going with something geisha/kabuki inspired with the head, but I guess I can deal with that, especially since I don't have any other heads that will fit on this things ball-jointed neck.

The figure it's self is pretty awesome. My brother said that he would have mistaken it for an anime japanese mecha if it wasn't for the cockpit on the back (this irked be because I dislike most anime). But yes, I will have to eat my words and say that the toy is pretty cool. Now if only I can find Chromia and Arcee!

I remember the 'fan built bot' poll had all kinds of cool weapons to vote for, but OF COURSE "we" decided on yet another damn sword.

I voted for a female tank brawler. I wish kids these days weren't all into katana swords.

Also: I was so torn on weather I wanted to get Obsidian or Volcanicon. I grabbed Obsidian because I liked the colours better, but seeing these makes Volcanicon my next kre-o buy. Unless I see the Battle Changers Starscream.

IIRC, I was voting for a lady beast-bot with nunchucks called "Cashotron". Or thereabouts.

I was initially against the AoE combiners, but eventually got Volcanicon because a) he's dinosaurs, b) I'm a sucker for red/gold color schemes, and c) TRU.com had him on sale for $6 (but after shipping and tax and cancelling the other things I ordered I ended up paying retail anyway).
I kinda want to get Obsidian and Lazerbolt now... but it suck not being able to go to a physical TRU.

They're both worth it. I grabbed Lazerbolt first, then Obsidian. I just can't get over that Obsidian has a Klingon weapon for his head crest, it's hilarious!
