Personally, i don't even know why threads like this are even allowed. There must be 2 dozen or so already, 10+ pages deep. Its the same argument over and over and the results are the same. The movie is 2 years old already with the third coming out in less than a week. People who don't like the movie.. Deal with it. Its done, it over, its not going to change. People that like it...Chances are your not going to change anyone that didn't like it. Like i said, its the same crap over and over. Everyone on both sides just needs to get over it and move on.

if pro rotf threads are allowed, then so can anti threads

its called freedom of expression and as long as you do it without insulting others let it roll

I judge people on whether or not I want to hang out with them at BotCon based on the things they say in the movie forums.

I'm not just talking about pro or anti ROTF threads. I'm talking about both. BOth sides have valid, as well as over reaching elements. Some more valid than others. Some more rediculous.

shamone, i think we both know from personal experiance that that rarely, if ever happens. I mean sure there are a few that have been on the oposing sides and have had very civil deabates on this matter. But at some point, someone is going to chime in and if its not a direct insult, someone will take it that way and the **** storm begins.

Its not that i'm against these threads, but at this point there's nothing more that can be acomplished from either side.

I'm the same way with a couple of 4X4 truck forums i frequent. Chances are someone is going to break something. I'll pretty much help anyone that ask for it, but if your a prick on the forums, i'm not going to jump up and vollenteer efforts.

Yeah, no, I didn't put this thread up with a "come flame here" sign. Not exactly my fault that people are so sensitive about ROTF.

And this thread's creation wasn't breaking any rules. Its a relevant comedy video and its there for fun, not to antagonize.

Never said it was breaking the rules. Just that these type of threads don't acomplish anything but get everyone riled up over the same stale never ending aurgument.

Honestly though... Considering how the hate/love ROTF threads have been (especially the last few weeks) are you really surprised? I'm not saying I'm totally Innocent have haven't contributed myself, but as of late both sides just can't seem to leave well enough alone. I mean people have really, (and i mean really) been nit picking some real ignigsificant things. I mean in one thread (may have even been this one) people were arguing for 2 pages about whether or not sonar can pick up snail fish or something to prove whether or not the doctor could have been detected when they went to revive Megs. I mean really?? Do we need to go that in depth? At some point people need to realize this is just a movie and move on. And just so were clear this is aimed at both sides. everyone needs to save their strength for DOTM. Cause no matter good or bad it is, their is going to be people that are both going to love it and hate it.

This is why I stick with the Nostalgia Critic and Angry Joe. They're the only good critics on that site with any level of true professionalism, and Joe wasn't afraid to lay the smack down on the people who got mad when he liked RotF.

And this is why I don't even listen/watch ANY critic because i'm capable of thinking for myself and not having someone else tell me what's good or bad about a movie/tv show/music/book/porn.

Indeed. I'd take no issue with what critics thought of the films if they hadn't gone the extra mile and essentially said, "People who liked them are trash. It's ok to think of them as beneath you."
