naw, he should have the same paint job as barricade, then when we first see him in alt mode, we think he's barricade until we see another cop car chasing him and then they tf! woot!

A Decepticon chases an Autobot. It will be fun.

Barricade is chasing Bumblebee down a highway, both in their alt modes. Prowl joins the high speed pursuit in his police dodge charger mode, accelerates until he's level with Barricade and then revealing himself as an autobot by transforming and leaping at Barricade,

Barricade transforms also and catches Prowl, they both roll down the highway mid-grapple and smash into a stack of those water bin-type things.

That's how i envisage it anyway!

I'd imagine a confrontation between Prowl and Barricade more like the Depth Charge/Rampage rivalry. Prowl and Barricade could have once been friends on Cybertron, part of a security unit. Than Barricade betrays them to the Decepticons, resulting in the deaths of the other team members (I use Streetwise and Groove below). Prowl, left bitter, betrayed, and alone, becomes obessed with bringing Barricade to "justice."

And for some reason, Bruce Campbell's voice comes to mind when I imagine a bitter and betrayed Prowl.

Prowl: "A thousand beings have fallen to your deciet, Barricade. Now its your turn to take the heat!"
Prowl lunges at Barricade, whom dodges in turn
Barricade: "What happened to the calm, logical Prowl I used to know?" (Laughs)
Prowl: "Ask Streetwise and Groove when I send you to the After-Spark!"
Fires a barrage at Barricade

If Barricade is dead and not in the sequel:

A team of autobots have landed on earth and group leader Prowl is trying to track down the autobots.
Prowl in his police dodge charger alt mode, finds Sam and corners him in a secluded area.
Sam: "Oh no way, not again!"
Prowl transforms
Sam: "Oh s**t!"
Prowl leans in towards Sam and his eyes flash blue.
Prowl: "Take it easy kid".

Barricade vs prowl, cop on cop fight...

Won't it be strange if Movie Prowl turns out to be related to Barricade?

It may be strange, but a duel between these two could make everyone's day.

I think he should be one of the current police car models. Not some super cars painted with police motifs.

Imagine a group of police cars giving a chase. Everyone looks alike. Then one among them transforms.

And it confuses everyone, except having a police car has different colors/motives than the other.

Barricade could be Prowl undercover, explaining why Barricade got away in the first film.

Yes, yes, yes....Prowl needs to be in TF2 and he needs to be a Dodge Charger...and I'm not just saying that 'cuz I drive one...well...maybe I am.

Who shall win? Good or evil? It'll be cool if the battle is on the highway and from time to time they transform in robot mode, they shoot themselves, than they turn back to alternate mode. I'd like it if the battle is long and they both damage each other - Prowl loses his arm and Barricade has been shot-through his torso and dies. Before he dies, he unleashes Frenzy (I hope they bring him back) and he goes on a secret mission - to find the Autobot Base.
