I'll be really disappointed if it turns out to be another Optimus Prime figure. First of all, there is potential for so many other characters and second, well, it's a cheap move to sell a "Final Edition" or "Last Shot" version and then turn around and come out with the same character again.

If it is a new Optimus Prime figure then I reserve the hope that its repaint makes for a better Ultra Magnus with armor.

I think you're justified in that hope.

If the figure is suppose to be smaller, then a Magnus/Powered Convoy trailer that transforms into the armour could easily make it up to the same height as the original MP01.

And this won't sell poorly, this will sell just as good as any MP has done before.

I'm so happy that I will have the opportunity to purchase countless repaints of another MP Optimus. The last five did not satisfy me enough. If only they were to include an exponentially increasing price tag into the offer.

Vehicle mode proportions and alignment mostly. It's been pointed out before, but MP Convoy's vehicle mode isn't truly in proportion to itself internally. The wheels are too small, doors are off a bit, etc.

In robot mode, they could articulate fingers, improve the hips and stability, and find a way to do the transformation without a cheat.

(I still love MP Convoy, just answering the question.)

I liked CP's idea about a conehead three-pack. I would spend that money for all three of them.

If that is the case, I would applaud Has/Tak for giving a big F U to third-party companies. That's been due for a long time.

I had saw a post earlier saying it was gonna be the last one, but I don't remember where. Then again, I could have just misread the post. I sure hope it wouldn't be the last one.

Ultra Magnus FTW!!!!

MP-10 IS going to be an all new G1 Optimus Prime/Convoy mold with trailer, new gimmicks, and a partner/driver. We broke that story weeks ago and now we're getting further confirmation from our site sponsor TFSource.com that Prime/Convoy is the new Masterpiece figure and that images of him will be released within the week.

TFSource has updated their Facebook page with the following:

Takara confirmed today (although many already knew) that MP-10 is a G1 Convoy/Optimus Prime with a new trailer mold. It includes a pilot, and pictures will be out within a week! We'll update the site as soon as it's available!

As soon as the images become available, we'll have them posted for you to see and comment on!

The problem lies with the Convoy name. Either it's being used to describe a Optimus/Convoy-looking Ginrai MP, or it's THE Convoy himself.

Though I hope that TakTomy would realize that a Ginrai MP would also have the same potential to be repainted (Normal, UltraMagnus+Armor, Black Limited Edition, Fire Guts, Clear, Metallic, Gold Chrome, etc.)

My guess: MP Powermaster Optimus Prime

I love Optimus as much as the next guy, I've got 2 boxes devoted to nothing BUT Optimus Prime figures, but when there are enough MP Prime variations that if you placed them end to end with their trailer they would exceed the length of a REAL truck & trailer then it's time to stop making MP Prime/Convoy figures and give us something that will actually excite us and not become an over-priced shelf warmer. At this point I'd get more excited over MP Jumpstarters or Battlechargers with a $250 dollar price tag than I would over yet another MP Convoy. He's starting to rival Movie Bumblebee in terms of repaints/remolds that nobody gives a damn about.
Please please please...give us something COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY new and different!
