The thing is, I think the head's a little too small to use on an alt with out looking funny.

Well, there's still some painting to do, however, you're right, the forehead of the helmet is a little too pronounced for a true Galvatron head. That and I couldn't find a flat purple/blue.

Still once I paint over the crown area in block things should come back together. I just need to find a suitable body now.

Be unorthodox - put the head back on its body and make Galvatron a helicoptor. You can replace the Winch with his arm cannon.

I just gotta think the color scheme would look cool on Evac.

I'm with Caelus on this one... a Galvacopter would be pretty kickin... though if I recall, there was a custom Evac done as Megs already... but i think he had a different head...

The only custom Evac I remember seeing was the dark green US Army chopper with the minigun.

That would be MacrossFA19's custom. Which, coincidentally, is who I obtained this head from. So... that's out. He's right, it was an ugly head to begin with. I'd like to think I've made some improvement.

Still, I've been playing around with an idea or two, but I'll need to pull a few more items together before I can go much farther. At any rate, the black band of his crown makes breaks up the purple and offers a more familiar look. At first I'd regretted shooting the pearl coat but the black makes a decent offset. When I build up some nerve, I might even add the red to the forehead.

not bad, not bad... still not screaming "I'm Galvatron!" but I'm sure the bodywork you add will help to dispell any confusion as to his identity. Keep it up, I'm loving it so far.

Heh Fat Head...

I think its the choice in color that's holding it back right now. That much red in the purple lends itself to more of the Energon [I think that was the jet] Galvatron than the classic faded blue purple. But the closest I could find there was a periwinkle of some sort and that just doesn't strike fear into enemies.

No gots no Evac Body, therefore no gonna be no Evac build.

You and me both...

The head is a little smaller than Grimlocks and many of the Alt Figures, however, its actually about the same size as the heads for Prowl and Skids.

Still the darker colors will blend and hide some of the size difference. Right now I just need to decide on how I'm going to wind up attaching the head. Its just taped into place right there. I want to retain atleast the right to left swivel when I'm done.

Right now, I'm looking at removing the neck post and drilling a hole up though the neck attachment in the grimlock figure, then run an oversize screw through and just tighten down the Evac head. It won't be pretty but it'll do the job.

The minigun's just a filler to try and see how the placements gonna work when I get a suitable cannon. Still a little work on the arms and maybe something with the upper legs yet, but its about 85% done at this point.

Not the greatest, but suitable considering how little time I put into it.

I'm kinda pleased with the size of the cannon, at least in how far it extends past the wrist. Now if I would've taken the time to have it travel farther up the forearm maybe... but then I'd have to deal with the wheel mounting. Ah well.

Still I want to break up the purple on the doghouse yet. I'm considering getting some of the new Boss Reprolabels printed in silver. Then again, I've yet to transform to see what it even looks like.

Does anyone have any opinion of the primer grey lower torso and thighs? Like them, hate them? I thought it broke up the Violet Pearl coat myself. Kept the figure from being too sparkly.

I like to think its a head above the rest myself... but then that's just the ego talking, I'm sure.

I Think the alt. mode is missing something. Maybe black stripes along the sides, or racing stripes along the center. Or a chevron paint scheme. I dunno, maybe its me.
