Because if violence and unrest is right to ensure change, then ISIS, HAMAS, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and so on, did nothing wrong.

This is a Transformers site. I don't want **** political topics in the news.
It's a Transformers site. But it's my site. This is happening today here on Seibertron.com. This is MY form of protesting. There are a lot of other Transformers fansites out there if you want to hide under a rock and pretend that all of this isn't happening. Today, here on Seibertron.com, we are going to acknowledge the unfair treatment black people are continuing to suffer and hopefully some of you can come up with some things we each can do to help make the world a better place for people of all colors.

Take your ass to Asia and you'll get a good idea how "blacks" are considered; they'll say it to your face and God help you if you stand up for yourself, not only will 20 jump you, you'll get arrested.

You're wrong. If you're lucky you'll get arrested, If you're not, You'll "disappear". I have no problem with the Chinese people or culture, But their leaders human rights violations are truly horrifying.
They're literally living Orwell's novel 1984 over there.
Its really a shame.
Also, I never really knew racism was a big thing there, But from a quick google search I can see apparently it is.
I can see why people wanted to keep politics off the site (you can't really say (IMO) that Floyd's death (as much of a travesty as it was) wasn't political- It wasn't- But both sides quickly tried to make it political) And in today's toxic political landscape, No one wants a civil discourse, Mostly everybody wants to argue, Even if you're on their side (and I don't mean like a debate, I mean like hateful bickering, Which solves nothing). For me, The Transformers fandom was always about bringing people together, And sadly, At this point, All politics is good for is dividing.
Truthstar9 wrote:Make no mistake. Floyd's death is a national embarrassment.
However, I'm not subscribing to the racial BS. I saw 2 whites, an Asian and a mixed cop there. Cops kill and arrest whites just as much to make a career for themselves and get off on their power trips.

Okay, dude, I'm on your side here. But when you say stupid ****, I'm gonna call you on saying stupid ****.
The empty stadiums are NOT the fault of BLM. That one is purely a covid reaction. The reason they're faking audiences is because they're not allowed to HAVE audiences. Which I think is stupid too but that's not pertinant to this discussion. That is not a BLM issue.
NOW, if you want something that IS a BLM issue, lets take their viewership. MLB, NBA, NFL. Their viewership as a whole is tanking, hard. And it's not hard to figure out why. It's not enough that people aren't coming to the stadiums to watch; they can't. But no one is watching at home either, and why is that? Because when they turn on the basketball game, Black Lives Matter has been laquered across the court. When they turn on baseball, black lives matter is draped across half the billboards so it's in every shot. And then during the seventh inning stretch they all demonstrate by kneeling on the field instead of just getting back to the game since there isn't an audience there to need a break. And the NFL can't even begin the game without a kneeling ceremony, the "black" national anthem, and at least one testimony on how the US is such a racist and unequal country despite the fact that at least half the players on BOTH teams are black and make more moeny in one game than a dozen working class families. No one wants to turn into their hobby or their escape to be lectured, derided, blamed, insulted, and accused of racism for what can only be a distinction made on their race since over broadcast media you can't address anyone directly, you can only address them as a group. Specificly a white group. Or a middle class group. Or any broad group you can choose that basicly invalidates the entire premise of systemic oppression by using the broadcast system to try and guilt trip and oppress that group.
Oddly enough, that's the same arguement that was made here, when we logged onto a TRANSFORMERS site only to have it thrown in our face with wonderful people like DX coming out to basicly say Black Lives Matter and if you don't agree then **** you. Ain't it funny how everything is similarly entangled.
If you want to make a statement about sports and BLM, please do. But make the RIGHT statement.
Bioformer Grr wrote:I want to tell a story. A story that I am sure all transformers fans already know. This is a story about a miner who was oppressed and forced to work for a fascist government. This miner escaped with his comrades and fought their way to the top of a gladiator arena, creating a movement, this movement gained a following and support from some in the higher class like a specific records clerk that we all know. This miner and this records clerk sought to bring an age of peace and equality and vowed to work together for the betterment of their kind.
However the miner began using more aggressive and even terroristic methods. And the minors movement of equality began to be a movement of destruction and terror. His longing for equality ceased being his driving force, and his movement allowed others to use this group turned army, into a bridge where they could gain power for themselves.
Seeing what the miner had become, the records clerk and the miner could no longer see eye to eye. And they broke ties. The records clerk became the leader of an army who ACTUALLY wanted peace.
And so began the war.
I know I generalized the story. And I know some details might be off. (Kinda of a fusion of idw, prime, and cyberverse.) but it’s funny, isn’t it how art imitates life, or life imitates art. How a movement claiming to fight for equality and peace, can become so twisted and lost in what they were fighting for that they become worse than the people they hate.
-WonkoTheSane- wrote:Excellent analogy.![]()
I too noticed the parallels before.
The events surrounding IDW's Decepticons rise to power were actually (and purposefully) amalgams of various revolutions throughout history, Where the outcome (in basic terms) was the same.

Is there any particular reason why you think it's okay for you to use such a racist term?
