I love getting packages in the mail.
Growing up in the 80s, we didn't have the option to Google something, filter by "Shopping" and impulse-buy.
Instead, there were printed catalogs that you would have to actively seek, unless an order form/instructions were included as part of packaging.

With the internet came lots of options, but if you're vintage-bot shopping, this narrows your choices down considerably.
Which brings me once again to Ultra Pretender Roadblock! He's shipping now, from England. The seller was kind enough to send me these pics.

Back in the day, if an order stated 4-6 excruciating weeks for delivery, Bodyrocker (age 6) would wait by the window, looking for UPS to bring me the latest SSI AD&D tactical RPG for the Apple ][c....

One last tool we have today that helps with the wait, then: the tracking number. Now we can check the progress minute-by-minute!

So in the end, the bane & boon to our existence, the Internet, delivers and lets me know about all the things I never knew I wanted. But it also connected me to fellow TF fans & enthusiasts!

Now, I never collected enough Points & beg my parents to send in for a limited edition figure (like Reflector, Camshaft, etc.), but I always wished Hasbro had kept the program alive! But perhaps that's what the TFCC was all about, minus the Points-collection....
