Botcon 2006: Team Transtopia
I'm looking for members that are going to this years Botcon and would possibly be interested in Representing Transtopia there with me for the site contests.
I think the "New Fan Site" section we're shoe in's for.
Also, we need a few members that have vast knowledge of TF facts for the competition.
In any case, I feel this is ganna be a good year and Transtopia could own it.
Also, any possible members that are going and plan to enter the art contests please report if you wish to partisipate as there may be a important role or two for you as well. This part concerns customizing so the better you present/make your customs there could be a greater chance of display.
Fell free to PM me if interested.

Count me out of the TF-facts. I have enough trouble remebering US history let alone TF history.
Aslo Remember Botcon has been offically anounced now and they have stated it's max. two entries per person in each art catagory.

I don't know much either, but it still sounds like fun! And I'd be happy to be a part of it.
To be honest, we'll probably get spanked. There's guys on other boards that eat, breath, sleep and crap Transformer history. You know, their the guys that always find it necessary to correct people on understandable mistakes.
Ask those same guys how many screws it takes to take apart Alt Swindle legs and see what answer they get.
What do you mean by this TFM? I plan on entering the art contest as well.

That's a trick question right. i haven't taken one apart myself but i thought it was all pins. I'm sure there's one in the waist.

This just kinda hit me. I'm taking a wild guess that you are going for sure now. Did you find a good deal on the plane tickets?

I am going to be there and also working on an entry for the art contest... possibly 2 if I can find the base figure I need for the second.
I am in the same league as everyone else though as far as knowing Trivia and such... but I can learn or make something up
We need shirts... I would wear a Transtopia shirt. Just a thought... heheh.

Well...I have good news, and I have bad news.
The good news: I'm going to Botcon 2006.
The bad news: I can't be a part of Transtopia's team for the competition. I had already made previous arrangements with Transfandom (my other main site) to be on their team.

might just be your area but usually you can go to an imprint shop with a design and get shirts made for around 10 a piece here.....

Well I'd be cool with that if your up for it. just make sure people send you money in advance. Last year TFM and I came up with the stickers the day before botcon. I "Borrowed" a couple label sheets and printed out custom transtopia labels for people to grab off the posting board (that I was blind a could not find because I'm stupid)

Yeah...I had it almost planned since the last con (at least the fact that I was going to this con and who my roomie would be for the con). We decided a few days after the official page was done up with info on the contest that we would represent TFD.

Too expensive to buy for yourself to wear? Or too expensive to make in the hopes that someone would buy them to wear?
All that would be needed: http://www.cafepress.com/ (click on Start Selling Now). There are no upfront costs and you make money everytime an item is sold. Money that could go to site upkeep, contest prizes... etc.

Trust me, if they had a "Take apart TF's" section of quizes i'm sure we'd kick ass but for the other parts we can just go in and have fun.
No pressure, just enjoy ourselves. If we don't know the answer we can make one up and just run with a fake answer and make the crowd laph.
No pressure, just have fun. I might even drink a little before ours!! JK...although I will be drinking those nights with friends.

I don't like I can't go...
Bills, buying TF's, etc... Hopefully people will go next year as I do plan on saving up for it, no ifs, ands or buts about it. ^_^ Only thing that might hinder me is if the movie comes out and I do as I plan for that and go to every viewing I can possibly afford. >.>;

Take lots of pictures guys. Do to moving into a house I'm buying the exact weekend of Botcon, I'm going to be both to busy and to broke to make it. Next year though my Ass is getting to a Con. Been trying for the last three years with no luck.

I would buy 2. Of course we would need to have a contest for the fan art on the back of the shirt. They would sell like hot cakes.

That's cool, I haven't even had time to spend on a design anyways. I may try the stickers again cause there cheap and easy.
Anyone else is welcome to come with a design. I'm devoting all my free time (what there is of it at the moment to try and finish my batmobile. Ran across a snag with the front being to wide and the shell not fitting.
