According to Crave.com's Facebook page, promoters for Botcon 2011 have released a hint at what the next possible figure will be in the Transformer convention's attendee package set:

"BOTCON 2011 MYSTERY: We've already shown you the Dead End (Jazz redeco) slated for release at this years BotCon. Promoters have released a hint that supposedly gives insight into what the next figure in the set will be. The hint is "Axl Foley." Good luck!"

Good luck indeed. We know TF Animated took place in Detroit, Axl Foley was a character played by Eddie Murphy in the film franchise Beverly Hills Cop, who haled from Detroit, so that must mean............well I have no clue.

I suppose I don't enjoy the "games" that surround BotCon information anymore. It's better than nothing (which is what we used to get), but I'm kind of like...Nah, I'll just catch all this on the flip. No need to hype it up in my book.

Being an 80's cop-action movie, Beverly Hills Cop had all kinds of 80's sports cars like Porsches and Ferraris.

"Axl Foley" huh? I think this is a split clue:

1) The aforementioned Beverly Hills Cop. However, the character's name is off by one letter: It's "Axel", not "Axl".

2) Googling "Axl" gives us Guns 'N Roses bandmember "Axl Rose"

Eep, I think I know... A repaint of Soundwave as... Breakdown? Axel Foley bends the rules a lot, which is Sideswipe's trademark, Breakdown's vehicle mode equivalent. A stretch, I know. But Breakdown uses vibrations to cause mechanical failure around him, and sound is basically that. Axl is a guitarist, among other things, so that aspect totally fits.

First Gen shares an interesting find with us about what the next reveal for the Botcon 2011 set will be. We already know it's an Animated to based set, and we have already seen Dead End, so Stunticons are assumed. Here's what First gen had to say after his research.

It's going to be a Bumblebee repaint whoever it is. Captain Fanzone, a Detroit cop drove a car that looked just like TFA Bumblebee.

I see where you're going with that, the only thing is that none of the original Stunticons were muscle cars.

That's interesting. Plus Axor is a remold of Lockdown in whatever the current line is.

But just to play this all out ....

Animated has the following unique car molds (not counting repaints/remolds):
Arcee
Blurr
Bumblebee (Deluxe and Hydrodrive)
Ratchet
Jazz (Already used)
Lockdown
Optimus (Deluxe, voyager and Cybertron)
Rodimus
Sentinel Prime
Soundwave
Swindle
Ultra Magnus
Wreck-gar

If we assume they will make all 5 stunticons, the Jazz mold is accounted for and Motormaster will be a Prime remold. Cut out other trucks, that leaves us with :
Arcee
Blurr
Bumblebee (Deluxe and Hydrodrive)
Lockdown
Rodimus
Soundwave
Swindle

If we then say Bee is too small to make a good stunticon, Arcee is too feminine a mold, and lump in swindle with the trucks we are left with:
Blurr
Lockdown
Rodimus
Soundwave

My guess is the last stunticons will be made from Blurr, Lockdown & Rodimus.
And to add to the guessing, I'll say:
Rodimus = Wildrider (since it has been done before)
Blurr = Brakedown (because another yellow repaint of Blurr would be silly)
Lockdown = Dragstrip (OK, I don't like this, he would make a better Brakedown)

Ok, those last 2 could go either way, but I would NOT buy the cheetor repaint if they make Blurr into Dragstrip.

So guessing the next announcement will be a Lockdown repaint is a pretty safe bet.
