Hmmmm, I guess there aren't going to use the Blurr mold for this set after all. Guess 2 yellow Blurr figures would be a stretch in one years time.

Interesting that Dragstrip is female. any chance she has a back story like that of IDW Arcee

thats horrible, even with a remolded head it would still be horrible. Blurr would've made a much better dragstrip.

Pretty crazy-ass color scheme and, the last time I checked, Drag Strip wasn't a chick! Oh well, it doesn't bug me too much. I like the mold, so it's OK I guess.

Ehhhhh, I don't know about this BotCon set. I mean, each figure individually is kinda cool, but they don't form Menasor, so the figures just don't do too much for me.

Now if they did...now we're talking!

I'm beginning to suspect that the fandom is in universal agreement that these should have never become Botcon exclusives. Could I see them as being an exclusive for a retail outlet? yes, but it seem kinda strange that we're getting them for Botcon.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting AEC and Classics repaints/remolds for Botcon, but this is just another way of thinking outside the box.

There's is one thing to notice. I'm beginning to think that they used Arcee for Dragstrip fro a reason and not just because of the word drag in the name. Notice how she's significantly smaller than the others? Dragstrip by tradition is one of Menasor's arms so they might have opted to use a lighter figure for a possible combination gimmick?

The idea of a combiner coming out of this set is very unlikely though, but it is a nice thought to entertain. The only reason I'm thinking that's a possibility though is FP insistence on Motormaster being revealed last. It's very possibly that the Leader Class Ultra Magnus mold was retooled to allow some semblance of a combiner. Heck even Optimus would work.

I do plan on getting this set mostly so I can make an upgrade set for it. If FP doesn't make them combine then I plan on making something that will.

Overall, I'm curious to see what the rest of the team will look like.

Interesting... I like the way it looks in art form better than the toy itself... but the picture, or at least some of the colour layout, gives me an idea. Anyone know where I can find a straight lineart (no colours) version of Animated Arcee's character model?

This is exactly what I thought!!! Lockdown as Dragstrip and her as Wildrider. This kind of lets me down a bit, but I want to see the others first. If they use Lockdown as Wildrider, then I'm passing- and I'll bet that's what's going to happen.... :BANG_HEAD:

This isn't Hasbro with a silly repaint for once, this is TFCC. I admit that when I saw it, I got many jokes in my head too. I would never have picked Arcee for a repaint into Dragstrip but oh well. I'm not buying this years box set anyway so it doesn't really matter. I'm hoping the add on set will be a G2 set of the original Stunticons to go with the theme but that is very unlikely.

I love animated toys they had a real kid robot feel to them which drew me in despite how much i disliked the cartoon, but this Bot con set is just not good. I want to say other things but it would not be constructive... wow they could have copped out with 5 seeker repaints and i would have been all over it, oh well better luck next year.

I'm pretty sure the name innuendo was done on purpose. I mean, using a female Transformer's mold as an homage to a male TF character named Dragstrip is just a little too coincidental. But now that I think about it, even if the Arcee mold was used for Wildrider, it'd still be a bit of a dirty name. ...No, it'd actually be a little sexy on second thought, lol.

Seriously though, I'm glad no one likes the mold choices so far. That means this set will be pretty cheap to obtain. I don't have any completed Botcon sets because they're usually so overpriced and everyone is going nuts about how great they all look. I actually like the set so far because there haven't been too many Stunticon homages that worked together, ever. There have been individual Stunticon homages that look fine for what they are, but none have any cohesiveness to them. At least this set will look good displayed together.

And, I still think Wreckgar's mold will be used to Menasor.
