Autobot032 wrote:Wow. That's actually quite horrible. The head is ginormous, the colors are garish and it just seems like a moneygrab to me. I could see Hasbro releasing it under CHUG2.0eleventyseven for $10 or so, but this will cost upwards of $100.00 or more, depending on how you get it.
Ridiculous.
*shudders*

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Why do BotCon and Club heads always look so fugly? And I mean always, I haven't seen a single head sculpt by them that looks as good as a Hasbro head sculpt.

I'll be rude and answer with a question: does Fun Pub have access to Hasbro's Design Team, or TakaraTomy's sculpters? I'd say no.

Nope. Sorry, bub, but we're not involved in this.Dead Metal wrote:I guess the headband will be made by Unicron.com wouldn't be the first time they made an official BotCon "toy".

Savage wrote:Okay, I'm content with this mold choice, though I would have preferred them to use the Generations Perceptor mold. I'm not thrilled about the headscupt, it's definitely a bit more elongated than it ought to be. However, I'm wondering if the headband will disguise that somewhat. Speaking of the headband, I'm annoyed that we will have to purchase this separately. Knowing the club, I wouldnt be surprised if it costs close to $5.
I had/have pretty high hopes for this figure, and still crossing my fingers that the final product will be worth it.

Maybe I missed it, but is there a reason they DIDN'T go with the Cybertronian Soundwave? Paint him white, add some of that graffiti and you don't have to any major remold for him and could have spent more money on making the rest of the set cooler. Seems like they put a lot of energy into re-working a flawed figure and didn't really end up with a great result.
Still, I never fully judge a figure until I see it (SG Blurr was one that really won me over in person)
