I was saying in another thread recently that I think that mold is under-appreciated and that it was about time it was resurrected for a repaint. With the theme being Pirates, I think it's a great fit!

There are atandarfs to maintain.

In Titan Class size, now I'd by that!Mindmaster wrote:GuyIncognito wrote:ausbot wrote:I'd love to see armada tidal wave done in this style.

Forget a redeco/retool, gimme a Generations toy already!![]()
Seriously though, more Armada homages would be greatly appreciated.

GuyIncognito wrote:I also suggested in another thread that Generations Metroplex could easily be retooled into a Titan-class Tidal Wave. It already has a mode that looks like an aircraft carrier on wheels. Just remove the wheels, maybe add some extra molding to make it looks slightly more boat-like, give it new colors and a new head, and BAM it's Tidal Wave.

I dunno... I feel that that would be a cheap, dick move on their part. Maybe if if it was an actual thing that they're doing, and we saw something of a mock-up, I might change my mind.
He means that this would feel like an excuse for Hasbro to not need to make an actual Titan class Tidal Wave figure.GuyIncognito wrote:Mindmaster wrote:GuyIncognito wrote:I also suggested in another thread that Generations Metroplex could easily be retooled into a Titan-class Tidal Wave. I don't understand what you mean. They're doing a pirate theme, and I think a repaint/remold of Generations Metroplex as Tidal Wave would be a great fit. How would that be a cheap dick move? They don't make brand-new molds for BotCon; they're all remolds/repaints.

Say what, now?Nemesis Maximo wrote:Either Animated or HFTD Lockdown, repainted, and possibly with a new head, into Bludgeon from that episode where the samurai was a pirate instead.

That's referring the Marvel G2 comics, in which he was still a Samurai. He wasn't "looting ships for their booty", he was raiding resources to complete the construction of his weapon and army, like any old Decepticon would do.GuyIncognito wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Say what, now?Nemesis Maximo wrote:Either Animated or HFTD Lockdown, repainted, and possibly with a new head, into Bludgeon from that episode where the samurai was a pirate instead.
Doing a little reading about Bludgeon, I came across this under the heading of G2 (U.S.):
By "solitary exile", what Bludgeon had actually meant was "build a slag-off big planet-like spacecraft called the Warworld and attack vessels for their cargo across the galaxy".
Sounds like a pirate!

That's exactly what pirates did. They raided other ships for their resources. Contrary to popular movies, pirates weren't seeking fortune; they were mostly seeking food and resources.
A Samurai, on the other hand, is a high-ranking military class that served nobility.
If Bludgeon was sailing around space in a ship raiding other ships for resources, he was acting like a pirate, not a samurai.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Sabrblade wrote:If we're going to get so pedantic about piracy, then every single Decepticon who's ever stolen something has been a pirate.
Are any of you really willing to go down that route?
