Blue and Gray Springer as Oilmaster's inner bot would work,
Er, Battletrap?

Yeah, but that hasn't been confirmed (not that I'm against it). Comparing ehobby's Oilmaster bot art and the blurry screen cap the colors are a 1:1 match for both characters. But we know the connection between eHobby and Fun Pub so it's not a huge stretch, plus Oilmaster did have a recent SG cameo.

i just remembered something that might be important Runamuck and Over-run also came out in 2012, 2 loose cannons right there. anyway I'm putting my suspect list out here. the only ones that I would claim to think of first are Sideswipe for the boss and nominating Road Rage (SG Tracks), Runamuck and Over-run for the Loose Cannon role

The Thief: BC2015718-2197M, AO: STGN Packrat confirmed
The Muscle: BC2015591-9687D?, AO: STHD Suspect, Battletrap
The Loose Cannon: BC2015426-2912SG?, AO: STHD Suspects, Treadshot, Roadrage, runamuck, over-run
The Boss: BC201562811-484?, AO: STHD Suspect, Sideswipe
The Bount Hunter: BC2015712-1496D?, AO: GNOP Suspect, Onix Primal

Well, it's 2008 recent... It's an appropriate day to bring it up.

BTW, in the video the Destructons are mentioned. Now that they've had some story time I wonder if we could see Bruton this year. His colors are a match for that Breakdown figure, though reversed.

I'm also rethinking that that the GNOP on the last one is probably just Generations Onyx Primal. Maybe a repaint of FOC Topspin? Head kinda fits.

We know that Packrat is a straight-up repaint.
We know that new heads are very much a thing.

GN = generic
HD = new head
OP = other part

What do you think? :\

I was thinking GN for Generations indicating the mold. HD could be Hunt for the Decepticons (which is easier to abbreviate than "Transformers 2010" and less obvious than Reveal the Shield) which included Special Ops Jazz and a repaint of Classics Bee (and incidentally, Tomahawk).

Emerje

That was my first thought too, but it doesn't fit what we've seen.

Springer, Swerve and Rattrap are all Generations - they should have the same letter.

I suspect the leading ST/GN is relevant here, though - four Western releases and one unreleased mold. Four say 'ST' and one says 'GN'.

So is it safe to say that going by the size of the eggs all the figures will be deluxe size and 1 legends size?
Hopefully most of the other exclusives besides the set will be voyager sized.

This is a long shot, the mention of "Megatron" had me look into one particular thing: the (planned) debut date of the Marvel comics. Guess when that was.

The comic was first advertised in Marvel #17 for an April 1984 (4/84) release, even though the first issue was released on May 8th.

It's long shot, but I could see a version (Wings?) of G1 Megatron, using a body based on Dark of the Moon Megatron. That Silas Breakdown in those color could be a match. It would also eliminate one new head from the total count.

Looking for more possibilities for the "484" in the Boss's number, Since there was nothing of significance known to have happened in April 1984 (4/84), I started looking into the fourth day of each month to see if anything happened on any of those days, and found that December 4, 1984 was the publishing date of Marvel G1 #4 "The Last Stand". The fourth 1984 issue came out on the fourth day of that 1984 month.

You thinking "Last Stand... of the Wreckers?"

Nah, Issue #4 is indeed called "Last Stand", but who debuted in that? Aside from the brown Megatron on the US cover.

That'll suck if they do a Battletrap but not a Flywheels. Unless one is in the box set and the other will be in one of the two packs.

I'm still wondering if a Nightracer is going to show up among the exclusives.

By the by, the idea of Battletrap and Flywheels being Triple-Changers is older than any of you realise: they appeared as such in the Marvel comics, and IDW took over that idea.

I'm sensing a Marvel-centric character line-up.

I'm still wondering if a Nightracer is going to show up among the exclusives.

She's rumored as the "extra" in this year's Subscription Service, as a redeco of Gen. Tailgate.

I'd say that's the most likely role for it :lol: More so than any of the other roles, anyway.

That said, the only character I know that looks remotely like a blue/white Swerve is Hans Cuff from Gobots.

Actually, that lines up with the 1984 bit too... :shock:

I'm just looking at what other molds are now available to them.

If the Armada Starscream mold is now available, I hope they do Armada Thundercracker and Skywarp.

I also wonder if the Windblade mold is available. Hmmmmmmmmm

Well yeah, that's why I mentioned the date. I'm just saying it's not a character Fun Pub would shy away from using.

Would they dare to? They'd be more likely to do a Ramjet figure, but that would require a new head. But then I guess they'd have to do Skywarp after that. I wonder Hasbro would veto a Thundercracker due to their Legends and Leader class versions. I guess they could just rename it Super Starscream.

Isn't the mystery one at the end Animated Shockwave in Longarm mode with the "ears" painted black around his chin? Maybe they're making an Astro Magnum figure? Or maybe that one really is Oilmaster since he has two bot and alt modes.
