He is a little bland in plain jet mode, but Im sure the purple boosters will improve his look.

The robot mode looks very nice with the mint green highlights, its a rare colour, and it works well with the white.

I like it, but it isnt worth what it will be sold for after Botcon.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Weapon: Double-Barreled Assault Missile Launcher
That's about how I thought it would look, not all that interested in it either.

Take a Classics Seeker mold, preferably a Starscream/Ramjet hybrid. Half-transform the seeker, by folding the cockpit into robot mode, but leave the nosecone intact. Set this on top of the Jetfire/Dreadwind jet, once you've removed the rocket pack. See what I'm getting at? You just need to attach the pegs from the rocket pack to the upper surface of the seeker jet. It means sacrificing an entire Jetfire to do it... but then you could have an effective (if smaller) Darkwing, and still maintain the Dreadwing combined form.

Hmm... interesting idea. I'll have a look at that and see what develops. Thanks!

rabstanz wrote:I know the head would of been easier to remould as Dreadwind, but couldnt they have tried a lil harder and remoulded him as Darkwing? Since he was a swing wing jet too the whole toy would have made more sense (though i must admit i do like the colours better than jetfire )

See, that's tricky. The swing-wing configuration certainly makes him look more like Darkwing in jet mode, but the overall robot configuration is much more like Dreadwind. I think they picked the right one.

I am not impressed. He doesn't look as menasing as his G1 counterpart. But I will be getting the set regardless. And I love the Classics Skyfire mold anyways.

Mmm, I am pleaseantly surprised. Glad to see the G1 Dreadwing color scheme and head mold. Really does look a lot like Dreadwing. Maybe with a lil more articulation though. ;-)

I hope to see a Darkwing being sold at the convention as well, even if they do not combine.

If they did combine, that would just by a cherry, a big red, juicy cherry.

Ugly head, nast paintj ob? I'm sorry, but thats what he is supposed to look like.

However, I was just thinking. Would have been cool if they had remolded the jetpack to look like Hi-test. That might be asking for a bit much though. :?

Nah you should be fine. I faxed mine in a month ago and then called them like 5 times. They couldnt confirm whether or not they had it.

Yesterday they said they didn't have the fax, oh so sorry.

So I was like fine, I'll fax it again and you'd better have my bagged set as well or I will come down to where you are and rip off your heads. They said, oh no worries, you'll be all set.

So you should be fine to order still.

I've probably missed a huge thread about this, but I'm curious.... has the Classics line been cancelled? I've not heard anything new, and loved the line - pretty gutted these exclusives are gonna be so expensive. Was the line a 'limited series' or something? would loved to have seen an ironhide, jazz - a runabout and runamuck whould have been awesome too....

Yes, you mighta missed a few threads. ;-) In a nutshell, the consensus was that it was a filler line and will not be continued after the movie. I do not believe there was an official; Hasbro announcement though.

This calls for an official enquiry with Hasbro. Quick, Bonger, to the Botcave!

Main reason I like this one isn't just coz he looks cool but also that Dreadwind was one of the last TFs I got as a kid that I loved. (Along with Darkwing)

Is anyone gonna fix the title of this thread and give Dreddy his real name? If it stays like this, it'll get people into bad habits... :P

We tried to point it out to them on the first page yesterday but it seemed somebody listened. It was changed in the news post on the side of the screen and on the top, but only for a while. I logged back on today and it's back to what it was? Come on folks, you'll get everyone's hopes up then crush them soon.

I love people saying "what are exclusives just remolded head?"

How quickly people forget Thrust's remolded wings.

It's like they want a whole new mold.

How soon will the set be in my hands? Mid-July as a non-attendee.
