You just sparked an awsome idea. Megatron and crew walking up towards the Nemesis and Megatron, without saying a word, pulling out a set of keys and pressing a button on the fob. You hear a "chirp, chirp" alarm sound twice and the lights on the front and sides of the Nemesis flash twice as the side door opens and the ramp lowers.
The losing the keys idea is good and even funnier when you think about how something like that could be problematic for an Autobot. Imagine needing those to be able to transform into vehicle mode. Lose your keys and your "hoofing it" into battle.

Regarding the Nemesis; out of all the g1 episodes I've watched, they've never once said the name of the ship. I doubt they even mention it. Odd.

I can't say for certain and don't have the inclination right now to dig them out, but the name MAY have been mentioned in the original Marvel Transformers comics. It's been quite awhile since the last time I sat down and re-read the original first 6 issues that I have so I really can't say, but the only place that I can say for absolute certain that it's mentioned outside of general TF "mythology" is in the Beast Wars Series. There's a small hole in my TF memory that I'm still filling in pieces of.
Partying and then starting a family kinda interrupted my hobby for awhile years back.

Technically neither ship was ever named in the G1 cartoon.

*palms forehead* Never thought of it like that. Ummm, wait a second. Do you have any idea how dangerous it is adding that possible element to the whole "Mass Shifting" realm of possibilities? Especially when you pose the question of "Is he the only one with that technology?" (which makes me wonder about the interior of SkyLynx or Omega Supremes rocket section) and even worse, what happens if he Transforms to robot before every else bails out? Although the "Tardis" effect does answer how Soundwave can store ALL those tapes AND mass shift into a small Cassette Player.
Well, now you've done it. Gone and opened up a whole other can of worms for us to fight over.

Much along the same lines as my leather jacket. Every pocket has at least 2 weapons and I never have to worry about it getting stolen because nobody can lift the damn thing. I asked my kids to hold it for me once while I prepared to climb a tree to retrieve a stuck glider and they both flat refused. I had to just let it drop on the ground. A client at a job site had the exact same jacket and went to grab mine by mistake, took 2 steps and went "what the hell?" and put the coat back. Works great for me! I need something like TFA Swindles transwarp storage compartment.

A Tardis is a time machine that on the outside looks like a old school Brittish Phone Booth and on the inside is somehow the size of a 2 story mansion and it belongs to Dr. Who.
