That thought had occurred to me as well. But how much could Ratchet have repaired in such a short time? I like the idea of the cube fixing BB's voice on contact but its inconsistent w/ other actions of the cube. What I mean is this: it restores Frenzy's body, it is used by humans to give life to a Nokia cell phone and it becomes evil (or really pissed off that it's imprisoned in a bullet and rocket proof cage), it gives life to an car steering wheel which latches itself to a woman's face, it gives life to an Xbox 360 and all we see it do is try to break out of it's packaging, and finally it animates a Mountain Dew vending machine upon which is promptly starts shooting MD cans @ humans. I don't see a whole lot of good coming out of the cube.

Is there a reason why you attach unrelated pictures with your posts?

Most of them are posted in Movie-related topics and depict vehicles photoshopped to bear G1 vehicle mode colors. I guess he wants to point out that "This movie is based on G1!"
That's what i thought too, maybe Ratchet repaired the vocals but it took quite a while for it to start up and reactivate.Briggs wrote:The writers already said it was Ratchets doo-hicky that did it.
He gave a nice cough after ratchet fired it at him, so there was one sign.
That's pretty much all there is to it.
while i like this answer the most, i really can't give Bay that much credit for character developement... still good theory BurnBurn wrote:I really should keep a copy of this some where so I can just copy and paste each time ...
Psychological trauma.
Yeah, that's right. Bumblebee had more problems in his head than just his vocal processors.
See, back on Cybertron, waaaaaay before the movie, Megatron crushed little ol Bumblebee's vocal processors, Ratchet himself admitted in the prequel comics that he couldn't repair him but would keep working on it.
Now, people are subscribing to two theories.
The first!
Ratchet's laser doohickey did it - Oh sure this seems the most likely, but come on, it took the WHOLE of the movie to kick in properly and AFTER the battle was ended? I know we have to have happy endings but that's just corny.
The second!
The AllSpark - Sure, it fixed Frenzy up, but it was instantaneous, and rebuilt an entire body. But what, we're expected to believe it took the length of the final battle for the AllSpark to fix a couple of damaged circuits?
So this is my theory, Ratchet's laser doohickey probably did fix him, however, Bumblebee suffered immense emotional trauma at the hands of Megatron to the point that even when repaired he was too emotionally scarred to use his voice until Megatron was defeated.
I like it because it adds depth to the storyline, and actually makes sense.
