Wedge is a fun little guy on his own.

Coincidentally Wedge was one of the first R.I.D guys I bought too. I think I bought him and sideburn with my first paycheck out of college. I then went on to buy Prowl, Prime, Skybyte, later Magnus and Gavatron. Eventually I got around to getting Scourge for pretty cheap and 2 of the 3 trainbots. I'm one trainbot shy of completing Rail Racer to this day.

R.I.D still holds a special place in my heart.

Same here. It's the line that got me back into collecting. In 2001 I still had my G1 comics and some of my G1 figures, but they were packed away. In the summer of 2001 I went by Toys R Us and lo and behold, almost the entire shelf was filled with RiD figures on an aisle. I got Wedge 1st, then went back for Prime and Magnus. (OG Omega Prime is still king!) Then every week after that as soon as I got paid I would go back and get 1 or 2 figures, mainly Autobots. I got the Combaticons, Sky-Byte and Megatron, but none of the other Cons. And just like that, the juice was flowing. For the next 18 years it would be a blessing and a curse.
