The natives believed that transsexuals had two souls though, I always thought that was interesting. I think people are way to much into what should be considered as male or female when they should just let people be who they are instead of judging them for what they aren't. Uniqueness should be allowed. x3 After all..we're supposed to be sentient beings. XD

I was mistaken for a girl by a female poster on here when I first singed up, about a month and many violent anime suggestions later I was asked if I think Jazz was hot, all I could answer was that I don't as I'm not a gay guy - never heard of her since.

Joe, you are one of the best people I have met, not just in the fandom, but in real life. I didn't know about your sexuality until this year's botcon, but that will never change how I view you. Everytime we hang, I am overcome with such positive energy that I know it infects everyone around you. I am glad you are my friend and look forward to seeing you next year and every year after that my brother.

Ravenous Nightwind wrote:NOOOO!!!! THE THREAD IS DEADDDDDD!!!!!! (at least for a few days anyway) WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! XDDDD
So anyway, I've been really busy lately and only had time to just check the news going on, posted few other places though but nothing to extravagant. Played and beat WFC and it was freakin awesome. Then yesterday found out the preorders for generations series 1 was paid for. Kinda exciting. =o
What's everyone else been doing?
Neurie wrote:The only thing I cant stand is transformers Slush prose, those things are just twisted, I remember reading a girl writing some kinda hardcore story about her and pretender starscream, was having knightmares for weeks.
I got lost in WFC, the single player is AWESOME!!! The only real difficult part was the last bosses. (obviously) But I really enjoyed the story.. I won't spoil to much for you but I will just say..if you haven't seen what happens in the autobot campaign..you might be surprised what happens cuz I know I was.joevill wrote:Ravenous Nightwind wrote:NOOOO!!!! I'm still going through plastic crack withdrawal from Botcon. I played WFC during the double point weekend but haven't had a chance to really enjoy the single player game. I want to unlock all the achievements for Dragon Age but they keep releasing so many new DLC that will never happen.
Ravenous Nightwind wrote:Dragon age was cool at first..then it just got boring for me, I dunno why. Just way to much to do you know what I mean? o.o I mean its cool to keep adding to the story but..there is just TO MUCH to do..way to time consuming for me. It is definitely a game for a hardcore gamer.

Does that mean you like Sentinel Prime in Animated? I thought he was a douche.

Lol I thought the fanboy craziness was pretty funny when I read it. I know the feeling about the whole feeling like your the only one thing, which is actually why I created this thread. I mean I knew there was others like my self out there but I just never met to many people that are. I only know one other..but hes kinda..trans? I'm not sure the right term since he probably won't ever get the surgery but yeah. I don't talk to him very often so there was no one for me to really talk to about transformers who was also just as crazy about it as I am. XD It made me feel less weird. x3Zeonic_Miko wrote:Bisexual here. Just now saw this thread and I have to say it makes me glad to see it. It’s exciting to see many people of many determinations here, as awkward as it sounds it makes me feel more comfortable posting here. (though honestly I'd be more afraid to admit some of my fanboy crazyness than my sexuality) I have never met a gay/bi Transformers fan before and now I know they exist and I’m not alone, something I bet many of us might have felt at one point. Thanks for starting this thread Ravenous Nightwind!
That whole thing actually makes perfect sense to me. I see people as just people no matter where they come from or who they are. So much is based upon looks and the way the social network works that its ridiculous. Though..I think things are that way because it helps people understand more about some things but at the same time its sort of irrelevant because those people despite the differences are still human beings which should still be treated with respect regardless of color or sexual orientation.Savage wrote:Ravenous Nightwind wrote:So many people are into the whole well your only one sex, but I don't think that's entirely true.
I wrote a paper for a class a few semesters back that you may have enjoyed. We had been studying the use of race, gender, and several other elements in various works of literature. One thing we covered was the idea that "race" is, in fact, purely a social construct. There is often less DNA difference between two people of different "races" than between two family members. The idea of "race" is just something that people invented and assigned different aspects to. When we discussed gender (not to be mistaken for a person's physical/genetic sex), we examined how "gender roles" have changed over time. There are four main "genders" (masculine male, feminine male, masculine female, feminine female). Jobs and clothing that were formerly considered specific to men are now perfectly acceptable for women as well, etc. With the slow but steady blurring of the "gender lines," I decided to write a paper with the thesis that gender is also a social construct, just like race, and nothing more. Basically, I stated that because one million people could all have different amounts of masculine/feminine qualities, gender is slowly being revealed as an abstract, and ultimately pointless, classification. Think of it as a line, with mostly men at one end and mostly women at the other, but as the years go by, the middle is mixing more and more, until eventually, there is no different.
Seriously, do you think your grandfather would use Axe body wash for men? No way.
Think your great great grandmother wore pants? Wrong again.
But these days, it's perfectly acceptable. Pants are no longer just for men, body wash no longer just for women. This may be kinda lame examples, but they're the easiest to think of off the top of my head. And in another hundred years or so, the lines will be blurred even more.
So, basically, gender is an abstract concept that was created and exists only in the human mind.
On a totally different note, joevill, dude, I had no idea! And I am usually pretty good at picking up people's tendencies. Anyways, that's awesome. I have some friends you should meet, if you're single, lol. See ya in Cali next year!
