Thanks again, Kirbs!

My TRU had the Legends wave with "Onslaught" pegwarming for months. When they put out Jazz, Hound, and G2 Megs, the Onslaught still weren't moving. They liquidated the Legends and I grabbed a Hound [pure love], and they put out the Bumblebee/Beachcomber/Brawn wave later, but they were still at liquidation prices. Needless to say, I grabbed them all and they own.

Image

I managed to find Jazz at an specialty shop and bought him. Funny thing is, the shop's prices were less than the non-liquidation general retail prices!

They had Warpath, Cosmos, Hot Rod, Wheelie, G2 Megs, and Hound. I bought the last Jazz. Assuming my TRU doesn't get the next wave and have them for liquidation, I'll drop by that specialty store and pick them up.

Glad to help. :)

Probably a good idea, getting them at the specialty shop. I managed to get Hound & Jazz at TRU, but that seemed to be the last wave they stocked over here.

Thanks for the tip on Skywarp, Editor. :D I went there yesterday, planning to get him and Ravage, but decided to pass on Ravage for now...felt guilty about spending too much money. Skywarp's alright. After some fiddling I decided there wasn't much that can be done to improve him but I like it enough to buy the other two G1 repaints. Quite flawed, but not an absolutely terrible figure.

They also had several HA Bumblebees up on the top shelf if anyone's interested (wow, Walmart's toy section is disorganized), at least 4 Ravages, and one Voyager Megatron.

lol, I almost got lost going home. Turns out the 388 stops running at around 7:30 or so. I don't know the area at all and I got really worried so I called Translink and it turned out I only had to walk those 4 blocks you mentioned to Scott Road. XD

Plans to go to Metrotown fell through so unfortunately I have nothing to report there.

I think I have mentioned how messed up that location is for their toys, but it can sometimes work out. I saw a couple guys look thru the Joe display find nothing and walk away while a small pile of the new wave sat on the shelf a couple aisles away. (which I found and liberated a few of.)

It's pretty clear they don't have any toy collectors that work there as no pride is given to that department at all.

Yeah, totally weird, they had a big GI Joe display set up at the far edge of the toy section - almost out of the actual toy section itself. And everything is just randomly scattered as if they just put new toys wherever there's an empty spot. You'd think they'd at least try to keep individual toylines in the same area. XD

At least they stock stuff though. Maybe it's easier to find stuff there because it's kind of out of the way for most people.

Hmmm, things seem to be slow here in the Great White North. I found the deluxe wave with the ice cream truck twins and Jolt (both of whom I picked up) a few days ago, but still no sign of Jetfire.

I'm heading down to Ottawa for the next couple of days, so hopefully I'll have more luck in a bigger city. Also looking forward to hitting up the Silver Snail and the Comic Book Shoppe to see what kind of goodies they have.

Stopped by the Broadway TRU yesterday (buying more micro buggies... next I want a copter XD), and they actually had some new stuff!

Supreme Devastator! Get 'em while they're hot! Actually, I didn't even bother to check the price. XD

Newer Voyagers, including Megatron!

Animated Deluxes on clearance! Not that there's much left...

And most suprisingly, they had a single Universe Legends Beachcomber & Brawn. I came this close to picking them up, but I just wasn't feeling it. Probably going to regret that.

Still no new ROTF deluxes, but at least something's moving. And it certainly isn't the Whirl/Bludgeon 2-pack. I wonder when they're going to put those on sale.

Twin Thunder or Reflex are amazing. Havoc is fun to get started with, but don't expect much control over it. Basically, you just control the vertical movement and the speed the rotor spins, which affects the turning left or right. To get any kind of forward motion from the Havoc, you have to put a weight on the nose and/or twist the rear rotor so it constantly goes forward and/or keep moving the turning stick left and right. TL;DR, get a Twin Thunder or Reflex!

Man, that pack looks awful. I'm waiting for that new Bludgeon they made. Slag looks so energon. He's so weeaboo that he turns into a Japanese tank!

Brossard TRU [South Shore of Montreal] has the red hatchback, the police car with arms in the front, the Camaro with missiles from the hood, and the Bionicle cat.

Hmm, what about the Havoc Turbo? It seemed to look like it had more control than the regular Havoc, and it had cool designs like the Apache and that old-school Bell helicopter from M*A*S*H*. I want that one!

lol, nice. About Bludgeon, I want that epic weaboo tank too, but I collect multiple versions of characters, and I think the green one looks a hell of a lot better than Wreckage. Anyone want my Wreckage?

Suicide is painless, but crashing my choppers ALWAYS makes me cringe!

I stopped following the Havoc line once I got my Twin Thunder [once you go Thunder... everything esles is under? I don't know.] but the Havoc Turbo seems to have more functionality than the original Havocs. Here's an RC Groups thread about it: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1087412

My TRU had liquidated the Legends due to crap like the "Onslaught" not moving. When I saw Hound for $3, I grabbed him, then they restocked and got Bumblebee, Beachcomber, and Brawn. Brawn OWNS! This is the Brawn we've waited so long for. I later found Jazz at a specialty shop for less than retail, and I HOPE the next ones reach my TRU. For $3 each, I will get all the Classics Autobots. Love me some Minibots!

I'll have to pass! But you could always consider that figure to be another character!

I could, but I only bought it because the mold was cool, I try to only collect G1 homages. So I may get rid of Wreckage once I get the Bludgeon.

Okay guys, I don't know if this was an isolated incident or what, but Universe Legends appear to be 50% off at TRU!

I went in to the Broadway Toys R Us to exchange one of my micro buggies (shoddy steering), and to my suprise they had a whole bunch of the Brawn/Beachcomber wave! Didn't see too many Bumblebees, though, but I wasn't planning on getting him because Classics BB is my official BB. They seemed to have done a pretty large restock, though of mostly older figures, still no Ravage wave. There were a few Leader Primes though, I just don't want to pay full price for it.

Even more suprising, when the girl rang Brawn & Beachcomber up they came to $6.98 for the both of them! :o No idea if any of the other figures are on sale, and it wasn't even advertised on the shelf.

Anyway, if you still need some of the Universe Legends, now is a good time to buy.

Of interesting note (and hopefully incorrect), is that a man in front of me in line came in asking if they had any Deluxe Jolts in stock... the girl told him that they would not be stocking any more Transformers at all, aside from the ones already on the shelf! She probably just means until the Christmas season begins or something, or maybe she's mis-informed, but this could be bad for TF fans in the Lower Mainland.

I know the Metrotown TRU was selling that wave on the cheap a few weeks back, I didn't take notice as I got the 3 of them from Wal-mart for $3 each a couple months back.

Yhea.... I don't know about that girls response. I have a feeling that she was either mis-informed or was just being a Bi&^%.

But thanks Kirbs, I was thinking of going by there today, now I know I don't need to.

What's in the next wave?

By the way, I replied to your post the other day about the Micro Helis on the RC Forum, I didn't want to clog up this thread with off-topic stuff again. ;)

Editor: Yeah, it wouldn't make sense for them to stop stocking TFs so early after the movie... she was probably just BSing so she wouldn't have to deal with looking for this toy they didn't have yet. Or they're told to say that to customers, who knows. She also told him that they can't look up individual TFs because they're all under the same number so...yeah, probably BS.

I was at the St. Laurent TRU last week, and came upon two employees emptying Leader class boxes. I kid you not, but they assembled not one, but TWO 6' high piles of nothing but Optimus and Megatron. Not a Jetfire in sight.

And people wonder why TRU has so many shelf warmers! Pathetic!

Funny that, I was going to go to either Metro or Lougheed today but didn't get to either on account of my GF made plans downtown instead. That said I likely will be hitting one or the other tommorow, I'll post if i see anything good.

I would be glad to take one of those Primes off their hands...but not for the regular price. :p

Please, please, please, please tell me they did not have Jolt or the Cream Twins.

Considering I've still not seen Ravage at any TRU, they probably won't have Jolt or the Twins yet.

Motto: "I once lost a battle. So long ago I can barely remember it."
Weapon: Thermal Melters
Spotted 4 Constructicon Devastators at TRU Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto for $99.99.
BWOP: "Die-cast construction...It's a lost art!"

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

I'm not too worried about that, to be honest, but since I did see Dead End and Blaze Master at the Wal-Mart last week, I've kinda got a red alert about there.
