For some reason, of all the new releases TRU canada website is only listing the RID ones, oh and only the ones that arent warrior class.

And this blows. But what I think really sucks is the piss poor distribution of the last batch of 2014 generations figures that we never got. We are collectors, we can always go buy them online worst case scenario and suffer the costs that come with that, but the masses just wont get these toys.
This last wave was very important. Not only did it have the first legit headmaster in a looooooong time, it also finally had G1 inspired toys of Arcee and Chromia, two fembots. And that's huge. Not just for us, but its huge in the fact that it would prominantly have female characters that would break down the barriers of social norms associated to toys. Is Generations Arcee just a "boy" toy or could it be considered a "girl" toy too. The answer is it doesnt matter, its a toy and anyone can play with it, but the sad truth is most toys do have a binary nature to them to categorize them in shelf space and to make parenting choices easier (read lazier). And also, a toy's gender is a pretty big factor in which child or parent will buy it (other sad truth). Arcee and Chromia (and Arcee especially, due to her being sterotypically pink) can break these barriers down.
My 9 year old female cousin, often visits TRU (with her mom who would rather she buy barbie)to ask if they have them and she is always told "not yet" and is devastated every time. She is a small example, but it shows that the inteest can be there, and others who arent as determined or knowledgeable as her will simply never have the notion that there is a transformer out there that could be bought for a girl. The sad thing here is that the TRU employees are bullshitting her completely. They have no clue who these toys are. And the reason I know is because she keeps confusing Chromia's name with Elita One, so she is actually asking them if they have "Arcee and Elita One" and answer "not yet", proving she could have asked for any obsurd thing and have gotten the same response.
Sorry for the rant but it was to show that it may suck for us collectors to not have these toys, but it sucks for a lot more people too, people who dont have the same knowledge and resources as us to obtain what we want.
Cheers!
PS: And Jetfire's 40$ on TRU.ca. Not better than Walmart but a good option if walmart is out of stock.
