Over the weekend Takara Tomy displayed all of their upcoming Transformers collector lines at the 2025 All Japan Model Hobby Show, many of which are still in their gray model form. Images below come from Dengeki Hobby Web. They have a lot more images than we can share here to give them a visit to see all five pages of pics.

Synergenex Evangelion Unit-01 x Optimus Prime is a heavy retool of the already exclusive to Japan Legendary Optimus Prime figure from the Bumblebee movie. He features a head swap gimmick and includes weapons from the anime series.









Overgear is a new line of original designs based on real world vehicles using top of the line engineering. The first two figures of the line are Ironhide and Blackout.















We also have our first look at Masterpiece Movie Next MPMN-01 Sideswipe as he appeared in Dark of the Moon. He appears to include wheel effect parts.









In a move that will be a surprise to nobody, the next Missing Link figure will be Delta Magnus partnered with Powerdrive.

Really liking these Overgear figures. Hope they're not like $100 bucks each.
Ironhide looks really good in both modes, that belt fed Gatling gun is impressive.
Reminds me of Energon Ironhide, but he was called Roadbuster in Japan so not likely the source of inspiration for it.

MPG Sideswipe is looking pretty nice.

Definitely want a ML Powered Convoy.

So stoked for the Overgear figures. Very original designs and inspired choice of characters! I am very interested to see the final looks, as well as what other characters they might do. This line could be the refreshing break from animation-model accuracy many have been pining for...

THose Overgear figures are MUST HAVES. Getting distinct Energon Ironhide vibes there. Not sure on the Evangelion. MPM Sideswipe is a done deal too.

Overgear is what I think Transformers needs to evolve in to. kids are more advanced and exposed to more things now than in the past. Showy, highly detailed bots and alt modes seem to attract more attention (hence part of the success of the movie figures and franchise). I think the days of G1 cartoon accuracy need to end...cartoon accuracy is flat, dull, and has little in the way of highlights and details on the figures. I don't think it really captures kids attention anymore.

(It doesn't help that finding any Transformers cartoons or animation anymore is a pain in the tuchus)
