Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.
Me too! I'm probably gonna wait for the Ratchet version though. I am really into designing Transformers in CAD so this vid appeals to me a lot.
Also, shouldn't this be posted as news? I mean we ARE learning something new about the transformation and stuff.
Edit: I also am wondering... What software does Takara and Hasbro use to design these? I must investigate! O.O
No, it's been stated that it is fan-made, so just enjoy it for what it is
To answer your question, they probably use some sort of cad suite, or the like (Inventor it's still around); as Autodesk makes both, I'd say it'd be safe to assume it's an Autodesk product

Ya, Autodesk owns all the heavy hitters now except for Cinema 4D. If I had to guess, that looks like straight up AutoCAD to me. But I'm no expert.
Yeah, it's a fan made animation in cad; but, yes, the render of mp o/primal also appeared to be an autodesk render
I need a software that can enable me to transform the model in the CAD easily and test to make sure things fit, instead of having to try and move parts into a precise place like I have to do with Tinkercad.

That would probably require binding a skeleton to it and animating it, which would probably be best achieved with a game modelling software like maya, or blender

Blender can go die in a fire! That software has caused me so many headaches!

Well, have fun paying $4000 for maya

I'd rather pay $4000 for Maya than tinker with that torture device from Hell. I still have Blender on my computer believe it or not, but have not used it for months because of previously stated reasons.
Greetings fellow Seibertronians! It's been a while since we've had news on the upcoming Masterpiece MP-27 Ironhide, but Weibo user 金属键盘RJ has somehow scored a proto-type of the old timer and uploaded some pics. He's got a pile of accessories including the "battle station" once thought to make up a parts-formery transformation. Additionally, Youtuber Liam Pope has shared a video of what he believes to be the MP's transformation scheme. It looks like he's done his homework and it's worth a gander. See the pics and video below and stay tuned to Seibertron.com: home for the best Galleries and Conversation around!

Look at the shoulder pic, this obviously is mis-transformed. I'm still holding out hope that this is going to be another one like Bumblebee that looks way better in hand.
Looks like the design decision to give it the "toy" head poking through the window (which, I might add - I think looks awful has caused a lot of other sacrifices to be made in the design process. The front of the van was completely filled in anyway, so it feels like the volume could have been used a lot more intelligently.
After Grimlock and Rodimus Prime, you'd think they'd have learnt not to sacrifice the overall final figure for the sake of a crap gimmick.
The head is nearly behind his waist, even. The more I look - the worse it gets. At least the face sculpt is tasty.
This toy has replaced Megatron as my 'worst' Masterpiece figure.

But for me, Ratchet actually looks pretty sexy not gonna lie.
its cool they are voyager size, but i personally feel the ball has been dropped, hes off, from head sculpt to proportions etc. Weird u go back wards in design from an awesome wheeljack, bee etc to this. I think they changed designers and it def shows. Looking like a pass for me

Yikes! I don't think he's nearly that bad. You can tell they at least tried to make him cartoon accurate in the face, arms, pelvis, and legs. It's the middle where they screwed up. That's the exact opposite of MP Megatron where the only good thing about him is his mid/upper torso. Pretty sure Ironhide wont suffer from permanent tarnishing either.

Design ascetics aside, the one question that is nagging at me is; Whose filthy gross-ass mug is that, and why is it in the picture, and when was it last washed, and what the hell is that brown crude: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, poop?

Megatron has the excuse that his alt-mode was a limiting factor in his robot mode effectiveness. Plus he was designed in mere days.
Ironhide is a box-van that turns into a very boxy robot. Sure, theres a lot of morphing in the show - but with all that mass - getting a boxy robot should not have been the issue its made out to be.

Nasty!
Oh my gosh you're right! I never look at what's in the background for some reason. So gross.
